Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Monroe Lake

This is the second time I stayed at John’s property. It is conveniently located on campus, and walkable to the stadium. The home is furnished tastefully, clean and stocked with all essentials. John also responds quickly to questions. I would definitely recommend checking out this property. It’s a gem!

Price was a little high, but for the university graduation weekend, it was to be expected. Hotel rooms go for $1500 a night!

Very nice home away from home. Very welcoming. Smelled nice and very clean. The appliances were very nice. We loved Joe’s place. The outside was very calming with the hot tub area very private. The patio propane fire pit was very useful as the temperature was under 60 every day of our stay. Our Golden Doodle loved the huge backyard.

I fell in love with the cozy home even before I opened the door, which was easy due to clear instructions and a simple device. Inside, the house was homey and well-appointed: nothing I would need was missing. Jennifer’s instructions and follow-through were so spot-on that I never needed to reach out with questions; but I trust she’d have responded quickly had I done so. If I visited the area again, I wouldn’t look for anywhere else to stay unless her charming home is booked.

Nice and relaxing . House was very nice, clean and in good walking distance to everything. Host gave great instructions and let us enjoy our time. Really enjoyed the stay 10/10 would stay again

We had both of Amy’s airbnbs over IU graduation wknd. We’ve been staying at the campus house for 4 yrs. I just realized that I left a review for that house on her woodland retreat house (new to Airbnb). Doesn’t seem to be a way to edit, so I’ll comment on that here: Outdoor wonderland! Beautiful! The house is great and comfortable, too! Amy’s artistic eye is obvious :) Having gotten to know Amy during our daughter’s past 4 yrs of undergrad at IU, I can attest that she is not only one of the best Airbnb hosts, but truly one of the kindest people on the planet💚…our dogs agree☀️

We had a great stay! The house was clean and in a great location. This was the most well-stocked airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at - from drinks and snacks to towels and blankets. It was the perfect place for our wedding group to stay at for the weekend.

We had a wonderful time at Josh's Sanctuary!! The place was so beautiful! I highly recommend this beautiful gem! We were there for my wedding with family. Lots of things to do. Perfect place for my grandchildren! Josh is very responsive and kind! Thank you Josh for letting us make memories at the Sanctuary!

Fantastic stay in Nashville. Perfect setting for us in the heart of Nashville. Most of our desired shop and diner visits were walking distance. Fantastic and friendly restaurant down below too. Amazingly we did not see all that we wanted in Nashville. We really enjoyed our visit and will do it again!

Kara’s place was beautiful and spotless. Walkable to all of downtown Nashville. We had a peaceful and fun stay. Would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was amazing! Kara did a great job of having everything super well stocked, all the amenities you could think of. We experienced a city wide power outage the weekend we were there and she did everything in her power to help us navigate that. Brought us a generator to save our food and charge devices. She even had flashlights and lanterns stocked in the house. One of the best AirBnb’s I’ve stayed in and will definitely be back. Kara was extremely responsive and so helpful!

The place was beautiful and very quiet we only spent one night there but it was well worth the trip only a few minutes from downtown Brown County..

I cannot say how thankful I was to find this place while looking for the perfect eclipse viewing spot. The host was very helpful as I was trying to time the weather and ability to move around, if needed. Her place was amazing - remote, beautiful and spacious, with stylish decor and so clean! As I was driving in, later than I had planned, she gave me a video of how to get inside which worked perfectly. I got inside and stopped and realized the space was exactly as pictured. Clean and quiet, peaceful, this was going to be THE spot for viewing the event of a lifetime. The host family was generous with suggestions on where to go in town, how to interact with the animals, snacks and beverages (which saved me on my late arrival) and access to wander the property and time to relax. They allowed me to view the eclispe is a private back pasture which was a stunning backdrop for the eclipse Everything was absolutely perfect and I would love to visit again! Thank you for an amazing experience. ♥

Her studio was great. Well equipped and clean with a short drive into town. She was very accommodating and responsive and would absolutely recommend her beautiful property.

My friends and I were in town for a wedding at The Wilds. Very convenient for getting to the wedding venue and to and from downtown Bloomington. If I’m ever back in Bloomington with a large group I would definitely book Nancy’s place again.

So friendly and helpful even when we had a family emergency. The location is gorgeous!

We've been here several times now and it's our favorite hidden gem! Quick 15-minute drive to downtown Nashville and all the shops. Can stay at the home all day grilling out, playing games, enjoying the hot tub, and the kids will not want to leave the amazing outdoor swing!

We absolutely loved staying here! The cabin was so cozy and welcoming. It had everything we needed and more. The outdoor space is perfect! Waking up and enjoying our coffee under the new pergola was pure bliss! The birds singing created the most enchanting and relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect way to start each day and truly unwind. Highly recommend taking advantage of this beautiful outdoor space! We couldn't have asked for a better place to call home during our trip. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Spent a IU football weekend here while visiting our daughter on campus. Quaint cabin in the woods that met all our needs. Chris’s instructions were very thorough. Only about 14 minutes from campus too. Great hiking in Hoosier national forest that was minutes away. Would be a wonderful place to stay also if you were doing a lake weekend over the summer.

We had a great weekend. It was secluded and beautiful.

Melissa was a great host. We had to cancel our trip on short notice and then rebooked on even shorter notice. She was very understanding and helpful. The house is very cute and quiet with a lot of space indoors and out. We didn't get the chance to use the fire pit or the hot tub (maybe next time).The living room furniture and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen table was perfect for eating and playing games. The kitchen appliances were top notch. The house feels remote but is not far from Nashville, IN and all it has to offer. Good pizza and beer at Bog Woods Pizza. Also check out the Farm House Cafe & Tea Room, just down the road, for great food and a nice nursery with a lot of plants. We'd definitely stay here again.

Came here with family and my parents for my child's graduation. It was a beautiful place in the perfect location!

We had a wonderful stay at Brooks Run Cabin in beautiful Brown County! The cabin was the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience—think cozy wood beams and the gentle creek of vintage wooden floors, but also strong Wi-Fi and a great shower. Ashley was an excellent hostess—thoughtful, responsive, and clearly someone who knows how to make guests feel welcome. The nearby Brown County State Park is absolutely glorious—lush, peaceful, and teeming with natural beauty. That said, for my fellow city folk: this is real nature. Be prepared to meet ticks, enthusiastic flies, and the occasional snake and frog who think they owns the place. (They actually do!) One tiny note—not Ashley’s fault at all—there was construction happening on the neighboring property, which was a bit of a disappointment. But finished in time for us to truly enjoy our last day. All in all, a wonderful escape into the woods with everything we needed and more. Would definitely return—with bug spray in hand!

We had a wonderful stay! Leah was very responsive to our questions and gave amazing recommendations on things to do. Our kiddos loved the swim spa, collecting chicken eggs, and getting to pet the very friendly chickens. The back porch was a favorite spot, perfect for unwinding, doing art, reading a good book, and watching the sunrise over the tree tops.
