Beach house holiday rentals in Mombasa

We lived our stay at the White House cottage. It exceeded our expectations and we would love to return. We are a family of four and it was perfect. The staff was so warm and helpful. Definitely hire the local chef recommendation. We had delicious food in the convenience of our own veranda looking at the ocean. The location right on the beach with the private, expansive grounds was perfect. The house has incredible views and is extremely comfortable. I highly recommend. If you have a big group, try to rent the White House next door and have an amazing holiday with family or friends.

What a beautiful beautiful place. The pictures don’t do the house justice and Tiwi is a beach that is still as gorgeous as it was 30 years ago. No beach boys, no grief just lovely people everywhere. We snorkelled, swam in the pool, swam in the sea, played on the beach, rock pool hunted on the reef. Saw amazing starfish, moray eel, box fish and 3 types of sea hare as well as the “usual stuff”. We missed turtles hatching by 24 hours, but watched one come up to lay her eggs . The perfect place to spend a few days with the family chilling, talking and reconnecting. The verandah at the front is the best hub place. Then food - Anthony creates magic in the kitchen. Fresh fish, fruit and his tempura squid with coriander and soy sauce was delish. Fred the taxi driver is great and as a mixed family of 6 we could be as active and busy or not as we chose. The best way to end a trip to Kenya and as a previous resident it was perfect -Asante Tanya xx

Villa by the Beach was all that we expected and more. The pictures matched our expectations. The space was very clean with neat bedding and towels. Having travelled with family, it was very family friendly. Absolutely loved the outdoor space for early mornings and in the afternoons. The staff were great too. Maikel was very responsive and supportive. Jason and the security guy were also very professional and helpful. We surely enjoyed our stay and would definately recommend Villa by the Beach.

A beautiful relaxing spot that is near the beach and private. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. A clean house!

We had a wonderful 4 nights stay with family of 5. The owner responded quickly, send us very detailed information of all you need to know and arranged pick up at Mombasa airport. The staff is very friendly, helpful and at the same time gives you privacy. Reuben the chef provided us splendid meals, we especially enjoyed all the fresh seafood!Recommended is to do shopping before arrival because bigger supermarkets are 40 minutes drive away. Fruits, vegetables, water, fish, soda’s are easy to get in the village but for more luxurious groceries you have to go to the bigger supermarkets. You can book the pick up from the airport with a shopping stop in Nyali. Neen Tree is a lovely family house with marvellous view and direct access to the ocean. A friendly monkey family lives on the property and are fun to watch. Besides the pool we loved going snorkelling on the rif using the equipment from the house. For transport we used Tsuma with a comfortable 7 seater which we used for a Kilifi trip.

Lorine’s place is amazing! I feel like the antique furniture and aesthetics of the colonial styles was flawless! I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends in the future. Perfect vacation home for 6 people. Bedrooms had comfortable beds and great AC! Lots of space to spread out. Nice being in the resort for the service options. Great location near the beach! Patience was very responsive if we needed anything.

What a gorgeous place. If you’re an animal lover, this is the best place to be in the Diani area. Monkeys everywhere on the veranda, in the garden, by the pool! Gorgeous birds. Starfish island nearby. Adequate snorkeling. I was initially worried because the Honeymoon Tent seemed like a better choice online, but to us, Ocean View villa has the most to offer of the properties on the compound! Lovely as a couple or for a group you know intimately (the rooms are quite porous if sharing the home). Mike was incredibly helpful and flexible, with an incredible life story. Martin our chef was warm and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely come back again. PS would recommend ordering the shopping ahead of time, can be a bit hectic to do it on the night of your arrival.

I recommend this host. When we arrived we found that there was a technical problem in the house we rented so Yvonne checked us in a beautiful, spacious and equipped with everything replacement apartment where we felt great!

I honestly couldn’t believe how amazing this place was for the price! I was shocked — it felt like I was getting way more than what I paid for. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The host was super responsive and made everything so easy from check-in to check-out. I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnbs, but this one truly stands out — such great value for such a wonderful stay. I would 100% recommend it and would definitely love to stay here again!

It was my second booking already! I felt absolutely like I am at home! I missed nothing! The housekeeping was on an agreement of both! We talked about when is it necessary and the housekeeping has been done 100%. The description on this page is exactly how it is! The beach, shopping center or a pub is only a short walk away! Yvonne’s bungalow is just what I wanted when arriving in Diani. It’s comfortable, stylish, and has just what you need. It’s located in a quiet street, 300m in front of the beach but to access it you have to follow the designated path, which is a nice walk of around 500m. There are a variety of restaurants and bars in walking distance as well as a supermarket and coffee shops all in a 2-15 mins walk. Bikes and TukTuks are easy to find and will cost 50-100ksh depending where you go. Most of all Yvonne’s house gave me just what I needed to relax, work and feel at home. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🤗 The beach front is vibrant and

the place was nice,would highly recommend especially for couples. It will be lovely to come back. But you also need to check the utensils especially the glasses, they were not enough for us and we had to share but everything else was top notch especially the person at the gate was very friendly 👌 would probably come back again because it feels like home 🏡
