Rhulani Lodge ~ sauna, spa, pizza oven, fireplace

LeviRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Tanya's place is absolutely stunning. The location is beautiful, with peaceful, scenic surrounds and nearby to many fun adventures and unique restaurants. Tanya has really thought of everything down to the smallest detail. We were able to completely relax knowing we had everything we needed for our staycation, the kitchen is fully equipt for breakfasts, lunch and dinner, we just had to bring the food. This time of year was perfect to enjoy every element this airbnb has to offer from the fire pit, the sauna to the spa. We enjoyed every moment of our getaway and will certainly be back.

Compact Pet Friendly GrannyFlat & Paved Courtyard

AlixRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Michelle's cozy cottage is exactly as she describes it. She has packed every thing you need into a cozy, private little space, it was exactly what we needed with our dog. Even though the road was quite busy during the day when we arrived it was very quiet during the evening enabling us to have a super night's rest. It is handy to everywhere we needed to go, I would definitely stay there again.

La Mer Luxe: Absolute Waterfront.

LindsayRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is the perfect location for a couple wanting a few days away. Right on the water looking over the Bribie Inlet, it's in the prefect location for the beach, shops and good restaurants. The unit had been refurbished and they have gone to a lot of trouble to make the place outstanding. There was a lovely bottle of wine, crackers and cheese waiting for us on arrival in the mini kitchen. Don't plan on cooking anything much, though there is a double air fryer, a toaster, kettle and a great pod coffee machine, with plenty of pods in different flavours. There's a waching machine dryer and all the things you need to wash, plus ample large fluffy towels for the bathroom, the spa and or the beach. All the linen and furnishings are new or next to new and they have gone the extra mile to make it look and feel luxurious. There's a nice balcony and a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view of the water and the passing fishing boats. Getting in and out was easy with the lock box keys.

Dicky Beach Tropical Oasis with Pool

NikitaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Great place to stay at! Plenty of spare blankets for the cold weather, nice and tidy . very easy and clear instruction for check in. Had a lovely time staying here during state cup. Only downfall is being too scared to make too much noise due to strict neighbours. Would have loved to utilise the ping pong table and pool more during later afternoon. Overall was a great stay for the weekend

'The Otto' At Moffat Beach

BrendanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Had a great stay at the Otto in Moffat Beach. The place was clean and matched the description and Melanie & Verena were great communicators. The location was perfect, only a short drive to the beach and local restaurants. We had some issues entering the property with the gate, although having said that, someone was there within 5 minutes to rectify the situation. Beautiful decor and all amenities were in great working order.

Casa Mama at Moffat Beach

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely long weekend at Missy’s place. What an amazing location with an easy walk to beautiful Moffat Beach and local cafes. The house was well equipped and was nice and warm even with the chilly temperatures that weekend. Very easy to have a dog with us and perfect garden for her to explore. We can’t wait to come back.

Your guide to Moffat Beach

All About Moffat Beach

The small coastal town of Moffat Beach is located in the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland — less than a 90-minute drive from Brisbane. A lesser-known holiday destination than other Sunshine Coast beaches like Dicky Beach and Kings Beach, it’s an ideal spot for deep relaxation. Behind the compact main beach, lined with pandanus and palm trees, you’ll find a lawn area with a playground where you can settle down and watch the surf. There are also barbeques and picnic shelters at Eleanor Shipley Memorial Park — a great place to relax, especially in the warmer months. The beach itself has a renowned surf break, and there’s also a safe swimming spot at Tooway Creek.

When you’ve had your fill of beach time, you can also explore the Caloundra Coastal Walk, which runs from Golden Beach to Mooloolaba Beach and includes various heritage-listed historic sights.

Moffat Beach is also known for its quality selection of cafes, restaurants, and bars, including a great local craft brewery.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Moffat Beach

Moffat Beach enjoys fairly warm and sunny weather year round, making it easy to see how the wider Sunshine Coast got its name. Though it can get hot and humid over summer, this is definitely the most popular time to visit Moffat Beach, especially in the school holidays, when the days are warm and the water is at its most inviting.

Spring and autumn are also very pleasant times to visit this beachside town, as they bring slightly cooler temperatures and less humidity. These months are ideal for visiting a nearby park with a picnic lunch, bike riding, or exploring the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Winter is also a lovely time to visit. Even though it means cooler weather, the beaches are usually fairly quiet, and you may see migrating whales off the coast.

Top things to do in Moffat Beach

The Beach

Moffat Beach is most renowned for its point break which attracts surfers year round, but if you don’t surf, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy this sunny little beachside town. There is a sandy inlet at Tooway Creek that is a popular spot for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Moffat Beach is also pet-friendly and allows off-leash access between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. daily.

Caloundra Coastal Walk

Soak up the beauty that the area around Moffat Beach has to offer on the Caloundra Coastal Walk, which stretches from Golden Beach to Mooloolaba Beach. The full walk is 25 kilometres, or a 50 kilometre round-trip, but for beginners, it’s easy to join the walk for certain sections, and also possible to stop for a drink or bite to eat along the way. There are some heritage-listed historic sites along the way, including the Kings Beach Bathing Pavilion, which was built in 1937, and a military jetty that was used during World War II.

Caloundra Markets

Nearby Caloundra is home to several outdoor markets where you can pick up some excellent local produce, arts and crafts, fashion and more. The Caloundra Street Fair offers over 120 stalls with a wide variety of wares every Sunday, and the Caloundra Twilight Markets, open once a month, are a great chance to try some delicious street food while watching the sunset.
