To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 mins. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. We offer sleigh rides and ski instruction on cross-country skiing in the winter, please contact us if you are interested.

Harehytta by the river

Rustic and cozy little cabin right by the river. Very simple standard (no bath/toilet), only outhouse and outdoor shower (only summer time) with cold water. Water can with drinking water and water for cleaning/cooking available. Here you wake up to the sound of the river and birdsong. The cabin has a garden, campfire area and a path to the river with a swimming area in summer. Dogs are welcome but should be kept on a leash as the property is not completely fenced. Linen and towels are included. Wood for the wood stove is available.

Closed child-friendly area where only residents have access to the road barrier. In summer, there is the possibility of swimming, fishing or hiking on prepared trails. With a canoe you can visit several islands in the lake. Free loan of canoe. The cabin is only a 1 hour drive from Gardermoen Airport. In winter there is the possibility of ice fishing on the lake or cross-country skiing on great ski trails at Trondsbu (18km, must have a car) 550 MOH. Ice fishing on Storsjøen? Mjøsa is Norway's larges lake with great fishing. The house have a 120 meter private shore with a beach in the end. Perfect for kids (see picture for equipment).
