The lavender is in flower from around mid Dec before getting harvested in Feb to make essential oil.

From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps.

A quiet country road follows the creek where you can see kangaroos and occasionally emu. King parrots call in most mornings and in the evening sit round a roaring fire and watch the brilliant show of stars put on a dazzling display. This is a special place, quiet and private.
