Holiday houses in Mitchell County

We had a great stay at Madison's this winter! It was perfect for the kite festival - we were able to walk to the lake area/downtown very easily. The house is tiny but adorable and had enough space for us with two adults and four kids along. The kids loved the basement bedroom area (queen with a set of bunk beds) and having a second bathroom was wonderful, plus a washer and dryer to run a load of laundry. The kitchen was set up pretty well for cooking a basic meal or two. There's no dining table but there are a couple of tv trays that proved very useful. We stayed warm and cozy by the cute indoor fireplace and played several games of Apples to Apples. Internet worked great, parking was off street, easy to get in and out of the house with a door code. Madison was super responsive and helpful as well! Would definitely stay again!

It is a magnificent house and a great location to explore downtown. Even with the weather hitting -21 degrees, it was super cozy! Would totally stay here again!

This lake house is one of the most peaceful Airbnb’s I have ever visited. It was a complete retreat for our family. We had a lovely view of the lake. We enjoyed coffee in the morning while watching the white pelicans and many other birds in the lake. We all experienced wonderful sleep and peaceful days filled with reading, walking the lake, playing board games and just enjoying each other’s company. The neighbor is lovely and very walkable. We walked to the town center and enjoyed the local pizza restaurant as well as the Fiddler on Roof play at the local theater. We took a day to see the Mystery Cave which are a little over an hour away but well worth the drive. I recommend this vacation home as a perfect family retreat.

Home looked just like the photos. Enough beds for a large group. Really enjoyed the outdoor firepit. Walkable to downtown.

Kathy was the perfect hostess! Her place was warm and cozy and a great location for anywhere in Marin City. Beautiful surroundings with wildlife. Place was clean and warm during the cold weather we were having. Thank you Kathy for a wonderful experience!! Deb

My family met there for an early Xmas celebration and the host had decorated the house for Christmas including a tree. So thoughtful!
