This house, where my grandparents lived, had been vacant for some time after they passed away. I wanted to bring this house, which holds so many memories of the time I spent with my grandparents as a child, back to life as a place filled with human warmth—this thought was the catalyst for starting this traditional Japanese-style inn. The Otsuka area of Misawa-cho, Ichikawa, where the inn is located, is blessed with fertile soil known as ‘noppui’, which produces vegetables with a rich flavour. In particular, ‘Amamamuso’ (sweet corn), Otsuka carrot and Otsuka aubergine are highly regarded locally. Situated on a hill, the property offers stunning views of the Kofu Basin and the Yatsugatake Mountains, and is located in a quiet and peaceful environment. Within the town, there are also places where you can enjoy nature and culture, including the spectacular Mitama-no-Yu hot spring, Kabuki Culture Park, Shiga-Ko Lakes, and Ichikawa Park MTB Field.
