This is the Mase Coast in Nishikan Ward, Niigata City (formerly Makimachi) 25 minutes by car from Makikata IC on the Hokuriku Expressway, 35 minutes from Sanjo-En IC. The horizon of Echigo Nanaura spreads out below. Take a morning walk on the beach with no one else around. A hiking course that looks like it came out of a Ghibli movie. Nearby, there are cafes in the mountains, away from the crowds, and There is also an Italian restaurant where you can watch the sunset over the sea. Please check the◎ facility details before making a reservation◎ About Kikori House In September 2023, a lumber company, Ogura, in the mountains of Minamiaizu-machi, Fukushima Prefecture, turned a house they created with a thorough commitment to wood into a rental house. Ogura is the descendant of a woodworker who lived with wood. Questioning modern housing that relies on 24-hour air conditioning for comfort, we created a space that feels like a wooden sunbeam, where you can feel the natural wind and sunlight while inside the house. While taking advantage of traditional Japanese carpentry techniques, you can stay comfortably without any inconvenience by incorporating modern facilities. On a dark night when you can see many stars, the sound of birds and the wind, and powdery snow that is so smooth that you can't make snowballs. Feel the magnificent nature of Minamiaizu with all five senses. There are few restaurants nearby that are open late, but the open kitchen is stocked with special cooking utensils, dishes, and basic condiments, so we recommend cooking for yourself.
