Holiday rentals with lake access in Middlesex County

The property was easily accessible and well-located. The views are beautiful - whether inside the house, on the veranda, or down by the water. The kitchen and living space were great for a family. Our teens particularly enjoyed the pool/ping-pong table, kayaks, and swimming in the pond. We would stay there again!

We liked Charlie’s spot so much we came back again this year! Family loves the space, outdoor water sports, and crabbing off the dock (which has been nicely upgraded). I recommend paddling out to the recommended sandbars. Great views, peaceful, and a nice mix of outdoor activity without having to drive anywhere. Highly recommended and we’ll likely be back.

We enjoyed the house and the surroundings. We fished on the river. Our grandson also enjoyed the basketball court. Everything was very clean and accessible.

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. This was such a beautiful, clean and spacious home! We were able to bring our boat and tie it to the pier. We used the saltwater pool and screened porch a lot. The kitchen had every tool we ever needed, and we cooked often. There was an abundance of pool and bath towels. The hosts thought of everything and were wonderful communicators. We would absolutely return!

Dona was a very responsive host. The home is a perfect place for large family groups ( we were 8). We were all there for family at RWC, but we could easily have booked this for low key vacation time. It has enough space for groups to spread out and is in a lovely area, only 10 minutes from Kilmarnock. Very much recommend.

What a beautiful place for our 3 generation family vacation (ages 1 yr {we brought our own pack n play} to late 50s). We really enjoyed all the extra outdoor stuff, like the kayaks, and canoes, fire pit with plenty of seating, and the hammocks. The storm surge brought the river into the yard for the first day or so but even that we loved. Our dogs lovedbiunding around in it and our little ones enjoyed it as well. Mark was a great communicator. He responded quickly to our inquiries and was quick to respond when a couple of "life hiccups" happened. The house itself has something for everyone, from the movies to the video games and books and games and even toys for kids. Our family especially enjoyed the Florida room off of the Mastoer King bedroom. We definitely recommend Mark's house at Piankatank Point!

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

Cannot say enough great things about Lacey’s home, we loved everything!! From the location to the decor and amenities. The home was SO cute and clean and all the notes with tips/tricks/info around the rental were incredibly helpful, there was no guessing about anything. The additional access to the nearby dock for fishing was the best! We visited early June and there were lots of jellyfish the first day, not so many the next. We were able to catch croaker, spot and a crab! We are so looking forward to booking another stay, too 5 Airbnb’s we’ve found over the years. Thanks for much for a great stay Lacey!!

We had a great day wonderful views of the river. Love the screened in porch and the swing and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed in my family loved fishing off the dock.

Beautiful surroundings, with the lake just steps from the door. The cabin had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. Great mix of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. We absolutely loved it!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage on a private beach! The peaceful setting and direct access to the water made for a truly relaxing getaway. We especially loved the Adirondack chairs and firepit overlooking the Chesapeake Bay—perfect for amazing views and cozy evenings. The master bedroom and living spaces offered beautiful water views that made every moment feel serene and special. The owner was incredibly accommodating with check-in and shared thoughtful, personal tips that made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind by the bay!

Incredible stay on a beautiful property. It’s quiet, private, VERY well maintained and just awesome. I truly hope to stay at this location again in the future because it was that great! You can tell the history in the cottage yet it’s updated and cozy. Also I’ve NEVER stayed at a location so clean!!!! From the cottage itself to the grounds, everything was very well taken care of.

Absolutely beautiful spot to stay at. Had a really enjoyable time, was very peaceful and relaxing. The house also had a very home like feel to it, and had plenty of supplies already there. Chuck was very helpful with any questions and also provided information on nearby places to eat and buy supplies. Definitely recommend if you want a nice, quiet place to stay for a bit that is out of the way and private.

To celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, my bride and I stayed at Pretty Byrd cottage for a long weekend - we were just looking to relax and soak in the peace and quiet. We got exactly what we were hoping for - the cottage is very private on its own little island and our only neighbors were all the wonderful birds! The inside of the cottage was wonderfully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't want to leave and the whole trip home we talked about when's the next time we should come back.
