No private entrance, stove, or oven. Ramp+ stairs= Huge Suitcases are not possible! Top floor of houseboat; we live downstairs +1dog,1cat Floating on the Fraser River, in a quiet, safe family neighbourhood just a short canoe ride or walk to Ladner Village grocery stores, cafés and restaurants. Easy bicycling to dyke trails, beaches, bird sanctuary, BC Ferries, shopping malls, and local farms with quaint shops and breweries. Transit stops across the street, Vancouver within 45 minutes by bus.

Oceanfront with stunning views of Howe Sound/Coastal Mountains (above photo). Close to town, ferry, restaurants. A 10 minute walk through our forest leads to our swimmable beach. Suite is newly renovated with stone fireplace insert, queen bed, new sofa bed, keyless entrance and private deck (bedding and towels provided). Private suite inside of a 3 storey house located within 30min walking (some may find it challenging) distance of the Langdale Ferry Terminal. In the lovely town of Gibsons, it is only a 40 min ferry ride from West Vancouver. Along with fantastic views it offers many great features such as hot tub for your private use available from October 1 to June 30 only. We also have electric car charger available on-site. I have a comfy 3 bedroom, 2-bathroom Main floor with a spectacular view of the local mountains. There is an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and large deck which is perfect for entertaining & BBQing. Would accommodate up to 8 adults easily. There are several public golf clubs close by along with wilderness hiking and cycling trails, loads of parks and recreation facilities, world renown Whistler Resort is a 2 hour 15 minutes drive.

The Hideout

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.

Witherby is a 21-property, 200 acre community, in the forest, on the ocean, 12 minutes from the ferry and 15 minutes from the town of Gibsons. The booking price is for a king bedroom with ocean view.
