Small cozy cabin that my father originally built for hunters. After I graduated from high school I lived in it for 12 years. 2 of which was with my now husband. Small open cabin with loft. Ladder to loft space and two twin beds. Small bathroom. Kitchen. Not much privacy, we live down the road, but are there at least twice a day taking care of our pigs, chickens and gardens. The best weekend getaway space for when you need to be one with the nature. Super secluded. The property is well maintained, the perfect balance of seclusion while having all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Gerry and Don were very responsive and helpful at every stage. The space was cleaned and heated before we arrived. Both Don and Gerry were friendly and proactive. Definitely recommend staying here.

David and Merry were some of the kindest and most generous hosts we’ve ever met. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect, even choosing not to rent out the other part of the house during our visit to give us more privacy. They welcomed us warmly, shared great local tips, helped us book a restaurant and even sent us a bottle of wine there. The house was beautiful, super comfortable, and had everything we needed. We felt truly cared for and would absolutely love to come back!

Pine Cottage: Private cabin on a Gilded Age Estate

We had a fantastic time at the Cottage. It's got a beautiful vibe and we felt like we were right in the middle of nature. A herd of deer came right by the front of the house in the field, on a walk we saw all sorts of birds, a group of wild turkeys and even a gopher. The grounds were just beautiful and full of history, with plenty of reading materials on the Estate available in the Cottage. The stand out for us was the old mansion with a stunning view across the valley to a lake. It felt so quiet and secluded. Was much better than we ever expected. As a host Andrew was great and available if we needed anything, but we didn't because everything was already all sorted. Thoroughly recommend!
