Cottage holiday rentals in Mediterranean Sea

Massimo beschreibt den Weg zur Unterkunft sehr gut, das Häuschen liegt etwa 20 min südlich von Florenz mitten in den Weinbergen, sehr ruhig und malerisch in den toskanischen Hügeln. Wir waren zu dritt bei Massimo und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Ob Stadtbesichtigung von Siena& Florenz, Weinverkostung oder einfach die Ruhe am Haus genießen: für alles das perfekt geeignet! Das Haus ist typisch toskanisch, Massimo und Beatrice haben viel Arbeit reingesteckt um ihren Gästen einen authentischen Aufenthalt zu bieten: trotzdem aber modern mit Klimaanlage- im Sommer geht’s auch kaum ohne! Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in Glorias Haus. Unser vierbeiniger Freund hat sich in der Natur auch total wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist klein aber fein und hat alles was man braucht. Das Grundstück hat eine schöne Größe und eignet sich perfekt um draußen zu Essen, im Whirlpool zu entspannen oder einfach in der Sonne zu liegen. Der Weg zum Haus ist ein wenig anspruchsvoll, aber mit einem normalen Auto und ein bisschen Fahrpraxis durchaus zu meistern. Gloria war für uns immer erreichbar und hat uns bereits im Vorfeld gute Ausflugstipps für die Gegend gegeben. Auch bei eventuellen Nachfragen hat sie immer sehr schnell reagiert und uns geholfen. Um einfach mal raus zu kommen und die Natur und die Ruhe der Toskana zu genießen, ist es perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Haus ist der absolute Traum! Wir haben 1 wundervolle Woche mit unseren zwei Ridgebackdamen verbracht. Der Host ist sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Zum Empfang wartete eine Flasche Prosecco auf uns, welche wir gleich im wunderschönen Garten genossen. Für das erste Abendessen war ebenfalls gesorgt, wie auch für das Frühstück. Der Garten mit dem Pool ist einfach fantastisch. Die beiden Hunde fühlten sich auch sehr wohl und konnten frei im komplett eingezäunten Garten spielen. Das Haus ist sehr schön gepflegt bis ins kleinste Detail. Durch die Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe in dem Ort konnten wir uns hier super erholen. Die kleinen Aufmersamkeiten des Hosts und das Abschiedsgeschenk rundete unseren Aufenthalt perfekt ab. Vielen lieben Dank an Maria & Luca! Liebe Grüsse, Fabian & Simone

Morgane vermietet ein wunderschönes Haus im Luberon, in dem wir (zwei Familien mit Kindern zwischen 6 und 11 Jahren) jede Minute genossen haben. Es bleibt kein Wunsch offen. Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet und das Areal mit vielen tollen Dingen ausgestattet (Pools, Boule-Platz, Tischtennis, Schach). Das einzige, was man wissen muss ist, dass der große Pool nur von 10:00-18:00 zu nutzen ist, da er auf der Seite liegt, wo Morgane, die Besitzerin wohnt. Und es ist nicht erwünscht, dass man reinspringt und zu laut am Pool ist. Man hat aber auch einen kleinen, privaten Pool zum Abkühlen an heißen Tagen, der auf der Gäste-Seite des Anwesens liegt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort hinfahren, Morgane ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und wir hatten eine fabelhafte Zeit in Cucuron

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Die alte Ölmühle ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail restauriert worden und man wohnt in unglaublich schönen Räumen. Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen! Wir fanden es toll, dass der Kontakt zu den Vermietern sehr privat und individuell war. Wir kamen uns vor, als seien wir ein Teil der Familie, was unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat. Die Gastgeber sind locker und zuvorkommend, geben klasse Tipps, helfen bei Problemen und sind sehr großzügig. Die Lage ist einmalig, der Sonnenuntergang vom Pool oder Schlafzimmer aus atemberaubend und der Blick zum Meer malerisch. Der Fischhändler kommt am Morgen direkt vor das Haus gefahren - italienisches Flair pur! Wir wären am liebsten länger geblieben und kommen gerne wieder!

We hebben hier 5 overnachtingen gehad. Het is ons heel erg goed bevallen, een schitterend appartement met alle gemakken die je nodig hebt. De faciliteiten zijn goed en alles was heel netjes en schoon. Binnen heb je alle ruimte en buiten kun je lekker op het balkon zitten of beneden op terras of grasveld met ligbedjes. Het is rustig gelegen, je moet dus wel even met de auto op stap voor een uitstapje of eten & drinken, maar voor ons was dat geen probleem. In de omgeving is genoeg moois te zien, stad (Pamplona) of natuur (Bardenas Reales, watervallen van Urederra). Wij hebben het heerlijk gehad, zeker aan te raden om hier te verblijven!

Need more time here!!! My regret is not booking another night here at this wonderful place! Check in was easy with the help of Mirjana’s dad, Shinisha. He made sure we knew everything we needed to know and was available if we needed him anytime… Mirjana made an excellent recommendation for lunch before we arrived and was delicious 😋 Mirjana’s place is perfectly located for peace and quiet and the views are spectacular. Make sure to bring your binoculars… The house was immaculate and very comfortable and we had everything we needed .. lots of different areas to sit and enjoy the view…a lot of time, effort and love has went into creating Falcons nest which was very appreciated by us…

Milos was a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming, and flexible regarding the check-in and -out times. His brother even brought us to the location with his own car, since I don’t drive, which was really great. The Old Mill is such a gem, it’s very authentic and the views from the balcony are just breathtaking, especially at the sunset. The pool area and the garden are also a very unique and a beautiful addition to the whole experience. Having a car is advisable, but if you don’t drive (like myself) there are local drivers, which will bring you to wherever you wish for a reasonable price.

Staying at Caterina and Francesco’s home in Nicosia was one of the most special experiences of our trip to Sicily. The house itself was cozy, welcoming, and full of charm — but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of their family. One of the absolute highlights was being invited by Caterina’s and Francesco’s wonderful parents to learn how to cook a traditional Sicilian three-course dinner. Not only did they patiently teach us step-by-step, but we also got to share the meal together, creating memories we’ll treasure forever. It was an experience filled with kindness, laughter, and incredible food — truly a taste of real Sicilian hospitality. We felt like part of the family and left with full hearts (and full stomachs!). If you're looking for authentic culture, genuine connection, and a truly local experience, this is the place to be. Thank you, Caterina, Francesco, and family — we can’t wait to come back!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit bei Tom! Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, super sauber und total gemütlich – vor allem die zwei Kamine machen es an kühlen Tagen richtig heimelig. Die Lage ist traumhaft ruhig mit toller Aussicht, die wir jeden Tag von der Terrasse aus genossen haben. Besonders schön war, dass wir von der Terrasse aus die Tiere beobachten konnten – Kühe, Schafe, Katzen und viele Vögel. Die Kommunikation mit Tom war top, unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Ideal zum Entspannen und Wandern. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

We hebben als gezin een heerlijke 10 dagen in het huisje gezeten. Wat een heerlijk en mooi huisje. Niet super groot, maar voldoende ruimte voor het buitenleven, want dat kun je daar fantastisch goed. Een heerlijk zwembad, buitendouche (heerlijk in de vroege ochtend tussen de vogelgeluiden douchen) bedjes, hangmat, stoelen, gezellig speakers buiten voor een achtergrond muziekje, noem maar op. Een uitstekende uitvalbasis voor diverse steden, dorpen en stranden. Mooie omgeving (door veel zon, wel droog). Enige minpunt is wel de blaffende honden in de buurt. Kunnen ze niks aan doen, maar je hoort ze wel flink te keer gaan af en toe. Maar goed voor het huisje en omgeving hoef je het daar echt niet voor te laten. In de ochtend wordt je weer gewekt door de zingende vogeltjes, de pauwen in de buurt en af en toe de ezel verder op. Heerlijke geluiden dus! Een echte aanrader voor een korte, maar ook voor een langere periode! Dank nogmaals voor een heerlijke vakantie Michuel en Emilia!

It’s hard to put into words. Monteriggioni was the perfect place for my fiancé and I to go. I proposed there, we had the most amazing food there, and everyone was extremely friendly. The best part was coming back after a long day and eating at one of there restaurants or grabbing a panini and just sitting waiting for the sun to go down while staring out into Tuscany. We couldn’t have envisioned a more spectacular place and experience. Now I have everyone asking where I went and stayed and that they want to follow suit. It’s absolutely perfect and the buses are extremely easy to navigate. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and with our hosts. This is going to be our forever Tuscan home. So grateful and pleased.

We loved our stay in this beach house by the sea. Allesandro had made it very comfortable and provided so many extra treats. It was so quiet, relaxing and calm with great restaurants nearby and many beautiful places to visit.

The cottage fit 6 of us comfortably! Roberto and Alessio were responsive and gave excellent suggestions for places to visit/eat. We were spoiled being on the doorstep of the nature preserve and visited a few times during our stay. Recommend without reservation.

What a wonderful place to escape to. A beautiful home, amazing views, wonderful pool and hot tub. Very clean and well cared for. Saavas was incredibly helpful and friendly & accommodating. Can’t fault it at all. In fact I feel very lucky to have found these four nights as it’s booked up way in advance normally. A tiny piece of paradise. Taverna was closed next door but that just made it more peaceful (maybe noisier if open but still private) - such an interesting time of year before the season started - watching all the Greeks get everything ready for the season! Pool was cold but the hot tub was amazing and warm so was a great balance. Easter was a lovely time to visit especially as very lucky with the weather. Did get eaten alive the first night so beware of mosquitos but we found the special plugs, & were more cautious after that. Maybe it was early season, maybe the recent rain. Loved the Swallows and house martins that flew over for a period morning and evening Perfect…

Amazing place, highly recommend!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Unterkunft gefühlt. Sie ist sehr sauber und in der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man gebrauchen kann. Auch die Terrasse lädt zum entspannen ein. Man kann von der Unterkunft tolle Ausflüge zu Stränden und Wanderungen in den Bergen machen. Sowohl mit dem Auto als auch mit dem Bus sind die Orte in der Umgebung gut erreichbar.

Francesca and her kind family have created a once-in-a-lifetime, soul-grounding experience in this beautifully restored 14th-century hillside retreat in Portovenere. We loved every minute of our six-night stay. From the mind-blowing views and steep, invigorating hikes to romantic evenings sipping homemade, earthy concoctions thoughtfully left for us—it was pure magic. We were welcomed with fragrant bundles of fresh lemons, rosemary, sage, and thyme, a gesture that set the tone for the care and warmth we felt throughout. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making our rest as memorable as our adventures. We especially loved our daily rocky hike down to the charming village, and one day we even rented a dinghy to explore the surrounding islands—an unforgettable way to soak in the coastal beauty. This place is beyond gorgeous—truly a slice of heaven.

The place was peaceful and spotless. Clive is very kind and wonderful, made us feel welcome and at home, and gave us so many good recommendations. The view from the little terrace is beautiful - perfect spot to relax during any part of the day. The little house is cute, lovely and equipped with (literally) everything you may need.

The most wonderful stay ~ peaceful, wholesome & authentic. The house has been renovated to an incredible standard - it’s beautiful. We liked the remoteness of it & the booklet of recommendations was very helpful. The one minor negative was that the pool wasn’t that clean, but despite this, we would love to visit again.
