Waterfront holiday rentals in Meares Island

My family and I stayed for a few nights and absolutely loved the space. The pictures don’t do it justice. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching the wildlife and boaters. The accommodations were comfortable and peaceful. It was very close to some restaurants and cafes. We had a great first night at Frankie’s which is right next door. We were happy we stayed in Ucluelet over Tofino.

We loved our stay at Island Vista. A idilc setting - within 2 minutes of getting out onto the lovely balcony a bald eagle flew right past us. The property had everything we could have wanted and it was great to have some outside space. Perfect location on the edge of Tofino town - less than 5 mins from the centre and lots of walking/cycling trails within easy reach. Also Jamie’s Whaling is right next door (we did a whale trip and bear trip and both were fantastic). Lots of amazing restaurants close by - don’t miss out on Shelter and the Shed. April was very helpful and communicative before and during our stay. Thanks a lot - we look forward to coming back one day!

Beautiful location with everything you need for a great stay. We’ve been watching eagles hunting from our balcony 🥰 Check-in was super smooth and no issues during the stay.

Beautiful place! Would definitely come back and Barb is responsive and helpful! Make sure to bring binoculars to make the best out of the view and the wild life around (bald eagles, sea lions, bears, etc.)

Mackenzies place is just amazing! Totally as described and pictures! In front of water, beautiful one bedroom with all things you need to stay:) location is also amazing. It’s at entrance of downtown Tofino. Lots of activities are able to do without car. One of the beach(Tonquin beach)were able to walk even my 5y old daughter! Other beaches also just about 5-10min drive. It wasy first time to visit Tofino and I was so happy to be able to stay Mackenzie’s place! Definitely recommended and I hope we will have a chance to stay again:)

The Orca suite was absolute perfection. The location in Uculete is central and only 20-30 minutes from the best beaches in Tofino. The property also has the most beautiful private beach with a stunning sunset and beautiful landscaping. We absolutely loved our stay and recommend the Orca suite to everyone.

A truly restorative visit. Peaceful place right on the water. Nothing beats listening to the waves crash into the rocks. Hot tub and sauna were luxurious. Kitchen was well equipped. Appreciated the small details of the suite. Hope to return someday.

Erika's place looks better than the pictures! The views were spectacular from the window with lots of natural sunlight. Although it was only my partner & I, we noticed that Erika also had pet toys & children-friendly utensils. We also loved that the shampoo/conditioner & cleaning supplies were mostly from local brands around Tofino/Ucluelet. The BBQ grill outside is a nice touch as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to visit Tofino & I will most definitely be staying here again.

The Homestead is a beautiful home in a beautiful, quiet location with amazing views. The house is clean, and overall is good but has many small annoyances of items that haven’t been well maintained. - Stove top elements: some don’t work, those that do are very finnicky and jump from very hot to cool repeatedly while using - Kitchen sink is near to falling out / disconnecting from the counter - Dishwasher soap door is gone & can’t seem to change settings (but does still clean) - Blinds make a horrible high pitched squeal when rolling down - Window crank handles fall off when using - Shower handles super loose and wobbly - Downstairs toilet wobbles - Hot tub has a broken jet and some buttons that don’t work (but is still hot and bubbles) - Fireplace in photos is not usable

We loved our stay. It was very clean & cozy & very well kept. It was exactly as described. One fridge was more like a freezer (that we could control) which we appreciated for our frozen foods! Even with it not being a full kitchen we still felt able to cook which was nice. The hot tub was lovely after long days of surfing. Felt very safe in a very quiet neighbourhood. Host was kind enough to let us check in early.

Lochie ‘s place was in a beautiful and peaceful location. Close to beaches and bike trails. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Loved the fancy coffee machine. The hot tub was a welcoming perk also. Communication with the host was easy and check in was straight forward. Loved that there was a storage room for our bikes. I would highly recommend Lochie’s place.

Spent 5 nights here in May 2025. Located in a beautiful spot with easy access to a beautiful hike along the water. The view from the hot tub is stellar. Lots of thoughtful amenities in the kitchen. We felt right at home! Bryan was friendly, had amazing local recommendations and was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely 2 days at Kevin’s place relaxing. The apartment has everything you could need to self cater and within easy reach of Tofino. Views of the shore at ow tide are wonderful if you like raptor spotting and the hot tub was a definite hit. Kevin was very helpful with lots of clear instructions.

A fantastic place to stay, in a gorgeous part of BC. Brent and Susie were great hosts; who made us feel at home immediately. The accommodation was perfect for our family of four, with all of the amenities one could ask for and a modern, well serviced dock to moor our boat overnight. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 3 days — our first time in Ukee! The cabin has everything you need and is very cozy. We especially loved watching the tide roll in and out in the cove. Also the access to the wild pacific trail is BANANAS. It was so awesome to walk our dogs all over straight from the house. Loved our visit and would definitely come back.

Lovely home overlooking the muds flats with out of this world sunsets. Not many places on the ocean so Danes place a great choice.

Connor was easy to communicate with and his condo is fabulous. The views are spectacular and the interior is spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed is very comfortable too. We loved the location on the water and having our meals on the balcony where we spotted sea lions and deer! We would love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in Gabriel’s condo. The location perfect for a visit to Ucluelet; close to local hikes, national parks and beaches. The condo has everything you need to feel right at home and is clean and secure. A bonus is its proximity to very good local eateries.

Stayed for a girls trip, location was perfect you are in the center of everything and are able to walk for food and shopping , every thing in the air bnb was very well laid out and instruction’s answer any questions you have about the place ! We loved it !

This is a beautiful location right on the water and very close and walkable into Tofino. We were allowed an early check in - thankyou so much. The location photos do not do this lovely place justice. We saw sea planes, raccoons, sea otters and seals in the harbour from our balcony. The beds were super comfortable. There was a variety of board games to play which came in handy as the WiFi and TV were off while we were staying. However our host recompensed us for this - thankyou. We would stay again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place, we would hope we may come again sometime - thankyou

Beautiful condo, beautiful town of Ucluelet! Perfect location. Had a fabulous dinner at Pluvio, went fishing with Captain Dean Robin of Peninsula Charters (caught salmon, lingcod, rockfish). If you have an opportunity to stay at Laura’s condo, please do so, you will leave wanting to come back like we were.

Cute, everything you need, good location slightly off the beaten path, stayed here and did day trips to Tofino, happy with that for a bit less hustle and bustle, cute shops and good restaurants all close by in town. Jess and Ryan both quick to respond to any needs and always ready with a recommendation.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The host was responsive, friendly, and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The location was great, and the view from the balcony was stunning. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we felt very much at home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Book this apartment, you won’t regret it! If you are a light sleeper take some earplugs so you don’t hear the fridge, and an eye patch unless you like waking at dawn, but still book this apartment as it is amazing. The location is great, the apartment is small but really comfortable and very well equipped, and the view is breathtaking. Sitting on the balcony looking out to sea and watching the sea otters is idyllic. Book it!
