“This apartment is amazing! It is both historic and modern at the same time--the charm of a house built in the 1900's with an updated interior. The neighborhood is quiet and about 3 blocks from the Fox River which is a great place to go for a run. The kitchen was filled with coffee, teas and breakfast snacks and a fridge with half & half and sparkling water. Definitely one of my favorite places that I have stayed. If you have family living in The Fountains in Crystal Lake, this is a very convenient location. Thank you Beth & Walter for your hospitality and concern for our comfort! Hope to stay with you again!”
Only two blocks from the Woodstock square, your room is located within our historic 1902 Craftsman home, the Louis G. Wilcox House. Beyond your private quarters, you will be greeted by artwork, taxidermy, plants, strange antiques, our adorable dogs, Keaton and Jingles, and tabby cat, Oliver! Anyone familiar with the film Groundhog Day will find the area recognizable, as our home is just down the street from the inn where the movie was filmed!
“The House of Odd is a fitting name for this charming old home. I was a bit concerned that there might not be enough room for my adult son and me, but Colleen & Matt accommodated us with extra room, plus fridge & freezer space. Frankly, they were two of the incest people I've met in this business! Their pets are lovable and the laundry facilities were free. Some of the hanging pictures inside may not be suitable for children, but they were more than generous in every way during our month long stay. We were more than happy!”
Beautiful 2 bedroom one bath house on the Fox River. Has a deck with furniture, propane grill, and hot tub facing the river. Has a boat dock, great for fishing.
“Eric was more than accommodating to our us! Our plans had changed due to the covid-19 outbreak, but we didn't want to cancel the completely. So, we found Eric's place and at the last minute asked if we could book. He got us taken care of within the hour and made our weekend a breeze! The location is beautiful on the Fox! Would definitely recommend and stay again!”
