What a delightful retreat! There were several times coming up the road, however, I thought I had missed a turn. Directions should say, keep going, then go some more, and then go even further. But once found and inside, it was heavenly. Comfortable furnishings. And the book explaining how the cabin was renovated was entertaining and educational. It was a terrific way to introduce Hallie & Mark. I got so much done on my book when I wasn’t staring at hummingbirds, listening to owls, or looking for shooting stars. And if there had been a chaise lounge on that balcony, I doubt I’d have gotten anything done! (Hint, hint.) thank you so much for a delightful stay!

Very Beautiful home with awesome views. We loved the large kitchen, back porch and hot tub! Everything we hoped for. Robert was very helpful and very prompt with responses. Will definitely be staying there again when we are in the area.

Sarah's place is lovely and quiet, overlooking the golf course and a view of the mountains. The neighbors were delightful, which added to the charm of our stay. The place was comfortable and spacious. Great to have the extra room and bath on the lower level, which makes it even more private. If you're looking for a place in the mountains near a lake, would recommend.

We had a great weekend stay at the cottage. It is an adorable little old house nestled in the mountains. The house was very clean and looked just like the pictures. There were a lot of little thoughtful touches. We all loved the kitchen, especially.

We were in town to race Hellbender 100 in Old Fort and really enjoyed how close it was to the mountains. Lots of space and comfortable beds. The hot tub was awesome and we loved the fire pit as well. Would definitely come back!

It was perfect for us. We wanted to be close to Wiseman’s View and this was a beautiful 30 minute drive there. Our kids loved it too. We would definitely stay again.

Great country location, at the end of a road. Beautiful mountain views. There were 5 of us, and the place had six beds. The kitchen was fully stocked. We had several campfires. There is a second outdoor kitchen area, under a large outdoor cover. Beautiful front porch with two rocking chairs. We had our morning coffees there every day of our five night stay!! Five stars all the way!!

My family and I recently stayed at Corinne’s place for Christmas as my mom lives nearby. It was a perfect Airbnb for us - absolutely beautiful house and views, plenty of space, kitchen and laundry were ideal. We did not use the sauna or the downstairs but they looked great too. Internet was fast and beds were comfy too. We hope to stay again when visiting family!

We felt right at home as soon as we checked in. The cabin was exactly as described... beautifully decorated, clean and had eveything we needed to enjoy our stay. We will be returning!

Overall, the stay at Blind place was great! House was clean, location was great, and Blin was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hike down to the water is challenging and accurately portrayed in the listing. Be prepared for a steep ascent when you’re done on the water.

Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay! The cabin was very clean and looked like new. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Our stay at TRR was a great experience. The place was spacious, very clean, nicely decorated, and conveniently located to downtown. The amenities were super… big refrigerator, covered carport at the door, puffy soft bath towels, gas fireplace, large bathroom, and many personal touches that made us feel at home. Thank you Ashley, and we look forward to returning next year!

This was our first time to Lake James and we are definitely coming back! The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our needs. It was very clean and had everything in great supply. Like others have written, the house is bigger than the pics let on. Susan was proactive with making sure we had the address, codes, etc before we arrived and very responsive if we had a question. All in all, it was a great time with the family!

Nicole's place is very quiet, peaceful and serene. Neighbors we nice and friendly. We felt right at home. Plenty of things to keep kids busy.

Awesome hosts and location! Would definitely go back even though it was in our county it was still a great place to stay while our house was getting remodeled !

Matthew made us feel right at home immediately. We brought our dog, Annie, and they even had a ball and a snack waiting for her!!! The home was spotless, as were the towels and linens. Communication was spot on, and we could opt for early check-in. The views are spectacular. We frequently stay in the NC mountains, and these views far exceed all others. We were there for the Toe River Art Tour, and it was wonderful returning to this beautiful place after a long day. We will DEFINITELY be back. Linda and Steve

We stayed at Bill’s cabin for 3 nights and had a great time. The cabin was well equipped with anything you may need. He even had extra items such as flashlights, umbrellas, camping chairs etc available for guests to use. The movie room was super cool and very well thought out, it even had a popcorn machine! The cabin was only a short drive from lots of hiking trails and the Linville gorge. Bill even shared some local places for us to visit and we really enjoyed them. Definitely recommend staying here!

I cant stress enough how amazing this cabin is for families. It was our second time and we always enjoy the outside time, the waterfalls, the views and just the quiet! Its amazing. Super responsive host and kitchen is stocked with a lot of what you already need! We brought our three littles and just brought a little babygate for the stairs. They take such good care if your fur babies as well. Looooots of carpenter bees and wasps but you can expect that because its the woods. The wasps dont bother you but the bees sometimes choose violence 😂Book this place now!! You will jot regret the entire experience…oh and the jacuzziiiiii….chefs kiss

Quant little house at Lake James. Very clean and tidy. We had a great time there went paddling with the 2 canoes that are at the property . We Would-Will come back again

Beautiful area, quiet, peaceful, and inviting to be still. House was very clean and cozy. It felt like we were in the “cottage in the woods”. My sister and I enjoyed our stay. She even said why don’t we see if we could stay a few days longer. Planning on returning.

Host was very quick to respond to any of our questions and concerns, and the home is very nice!

The pictures didn’t do the place justice. The view was beautiful. Firefly’s at night, birds in the morning, sunshine on both porches. Peacefully quiet! The space was perfect for our family and the kitchen was equipped for our cooking needs. Stayed cool during the day and warm in the evenings. We loved the cabin and Christy was quick to respond to any questions!

This tiny cabin was beautiful & comfy, the views and landscape (including a little stream) were awesome, and Phillip was a great host. We only stayed one night but the vibe was so positive and it stands out as one of the best nights of our travels.
