Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Mason

This was a wonderful retreat for our family. Comfortable and well situated for hiking, wine, adventures, and shopping in town hosts were communicative as needed. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay; the home was peaceful and had plenty of room for our group. We were visiting for our nephew’s wedding, and Alyson and Scott’s place was the perfect location for us to decorate our cakes and cupcakes. They even accommodated our request to park our BBQ pit trailer for smoking briskets. Additionally, when our pet sitter canceled at the last minute, our hosts were quick to approve our request to bring our dog. During our stay, the area experienced severe storms that caused widespread power outages. As soon as we texted to let them know we were affected, they promptly contacted the power company on our behalf. Once power was restored, one of the split units didn’t turn back on, but they responded immediately and had someone out quickly to inspect and restore it. Not only were they kind, prompt, and responsive to our needs—they were also incredibly courteous and even extended our checkout time!

I've stayed at a lot of places and I have to say that this has to be the most well equipped home ive ever stayed at. The home was comfortable and had snacks and drinks stocked for guests. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to stay in Mason.

Terrie was a fantastic host! Going above and beyond to answer any questions we had, along with a personal welcome with hand written notes and goodies for us and our pet. The place itself was very charming and spacious with movies, books, toiletries, snacks and dishes available. There was not a single thing we needed. This is the standard for what an Airbnb should be, easy five stars.

This was a great place to stay for our family of 7 (could have easily accommodated 9). There was a lot of seating and spacious rooms and a kitchen. The location was about 15-20 min to town. Some small critters here and there but that’s to be expected given the location.

INCREDIBLE STAY! I highly recommend everyone try this place out. Beautiful home, property, and an awesome bar on the property. The hosts were also amazing. 10/10

A true Texas Hill Country gem! The Lazo House was the perfect escape for our group — peaceful, scenic, and thoughtfully designed. The cabins were cozy and spotless, and the common house made gathering so easy and fun. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the patio, listening to the river and birds, and ending our days under the stars. The river was easily accessible, there were a few seating areas in the shade that were nice for watching the younger crowd hang out in the water.

The house and property are lovely. We enjoyed the beautiful porches and views. Furniture was comfortable and clean. Appreciated the TVs in the bedrooms. The barn was so much fun. We loved all the games. Overall it was a lovely time.

Jennifer was extremely accommodating and made the resort welcoming. Pickleball courts were a plus. Approximately 20 min away from downtown Fredericksburg.

Billy & his family were so accommodating, we had some A/C issues but Billy & his son Garrett fixed everything for us and even moved us to a different location so they could fix the issue. The fresh chicken eggs were soooo delicious. The Rec center was such a great place for the family to hang out in. You guys were great hosts and I would definitely recommend you to friends and family when they need to stay in the area.

Had a wonderful time here! Quiet, secluded, beautiful. I like to explore, so there was a lot to explore. Had 4 friends, and we all enjoyed our sleeping areas! A tip to know if you’re gonna cook, the stoves are not the most effective for massive meals. But we made do and it wasn’t a issue! (Definitely use the grill) Our host was fantastic and kept us updated throughout the trip including a later check out time, which we all enjoyed so much. Thank you for allowing us to stay and relax for the weekend!

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The property was even better than the pictures – clean, beautifully maintained, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel special. The highlight for me was definitely the pool and hot tub. Both were spotless, well-maintained, and created the perfect setting to relax and unwind. The host was outstanding – friendly, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. The space was cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and everything I needed was right at my fingertips. If you’re looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway with the added bonus of your own private pool and hot tub, this is the place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! My family of four loved our three night stay! We played ping pong, grilled, had a fire and spent the day at Inks Lake. We picked up pizza from Bella Serra and spent day 2 at the local river spot. Everything was great and we will be back!

This listing is perfect for large family gatherings. Spacious and well equipped, this spot has everything you’d need and is laid out well. We loved it

Great place for family to hang out

Great place to relax and fish. Close enough to James River/ Llano River to go and hangout in the rapids with a short drive or boat excursion. Hosts are accommodating. Just make sure to enable WiFi calling if you’re not wanting to completely get away from it all.

My wife, two kids, and I had a fantastic stay at this 3-bedroom, 1-bath Airbnb. The house was clean, cozy, and perfectly suited for our family. One of the highlights was definitely the view out the back window—we loved seeing the longhorn cows grazing, which was such a unique and fun experience for the kids! The check-in and check-out process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free, making our trip that much more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and quiet, offering a great place to relax while still being close enough to everything we needed. We highly recommend this place for families or anyone looking for a comfortable stay with a bit of rustic charm.

Nice cozy get away to detach from everything. My husband and I enjoyed the peace.

Cheryl’s little barn home was lovely. Located just a few miles outside of Mason’s, check-in and check-out were easy. The house was nicely furnished and spaces were as advertised. Cheryl was easy to reach when I had a question. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Very quiet and comfortable. Had a issue with shower that was taken care of immediately. We'll be back.

Alyssa was friendly and helpful from our first contact. My group loved hanging out in the gameroom at the end of our evenings playing pool, later than we should have, but we were having a great time. Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Definitely be prepared to meet the dogs (they're very friendly) and watch the ducks and deer who all visit. Next time we're in the area we'd definitely stay again.

Great place. Beautifully landscaped courtyard. Enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was right next to the casita. Would definitely go back.
