Sonka Resort’s Mirror Houses are set by a frozen lake, surrounded by forest and open sky. Each cabin has a mirrored exterior for privacy, a lake-view glass wall, double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and a projector screen. Local breakfast is available on request with at least three days’ notice. With several BBQ kotas on the premises, guests can enjoy outdoor cooking anytime. Igloo saunas and hot tubs are available to book. A quiet Lapland escape under the northern lights.

Lapland cabin by a lake

This small, traditional, Lappish log cabin is located right at lake Norvajärvi , only some steps to the water (or ice in winter). Enjoy the lake view and forest around you, immerse to the nature and its sounds and smells, marvel the northern lights and cosy up by the open fire. Cabin has electricity but no running water. We bring drinking water in containers and washing water to sauna is taken from the sweet water lake. We are 20km from Rovaniemi city, apprx 30min drive -with no street lights.

Upea jokinäköala omalta terassilta. Pysäköintitilaa runsaasti. Mökki kehdessa kerroksessa, alakerrassa keittiö, olohuone, makuualkovi, kylpyhuone ja sauna. Yläkerrassa makuuhuone Very nice view to river Ounas. Parking your car near cottage is possible. There are kitchen, living room, alcove, bathroom and sauna in downstairs of the cabin. Upstairs there is bedroom. Distance to Rovaniemi and Santa's village is about 50 kilometers so I recommend to rent a car. there is no public transportation

Villa Kinos is located next to pure nature and fresh water. From the living room you have views to the lake and if you get lucky you can see the aurora borealis. The villa has five bedrooms and can accommodate nine people. The villa has own finnish sauna, jacuzzi and a fire hut. You can enjoy those privately with your own group. Saunamökin kuistilta näkymä metsään päin. Vesijohtoa ei ole, vesiastiat ovat täytettynä tullessasi. Tilava sauna. Grillikota käytössäsi (noin 50 metriä mökistä). A cosy cottage in a beautiful area only a 30min drive from the city centre. You can set up a bonfire by the stream, listen to the magic sounds of the nature and watch the sky. This is one of the best places in town to see the Aurora Borealis.Now they are at their best and you can see them just looking out of the window inside the cottage!The cottage is right next to the river Ounasjoki.The cottage is only a short distance from the city center but you will be just like different world.

Glamping in Aurora Igloo

Experience our unique Aurora igloo. Clamping near the city centre but still next to the forest. See and feel the frost around you but enjoy the warmness of the real fire and down blanket. Enjoy Lapland! We have only one igloo in our garden and it is one of a kind! You may also use the garden around for winter fun activities. We have sledges and shuffles for your use. There is no jacuzzi/hot tub or sauna available in this accommodation I am afraid.
