Samuel's House

The House of Samuel is a colonial house, in a typically gold-pretana neighborhood, next to the Pilar church. It's perfect to rest after a day of going up and downhill! For those who prefer to relax by having a beer, our room/bar at street level is “the” place to feel part of the landscape. For those who like to contemplate, we have a hammock on the balcony overlooking the churches. We accommodate up to 5 people, in one suite, one room and one extra mattress. We have an open-air carport, 30 metres from the entrance to the house.

Cabana Candeia is located in Catarina Mendes, a rural district of Ouro Preto, 11 km from the Historic Center (25 to 30 min by car). Surrounded by nature and close to the Catarina Mendes Waterfall, it's an invitation to slow down, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the tranquility in the midst of the mountains. Access is via two routes through Morro São Sebastião; the last 2 km are on a dirt road, in good condition and easily accessible for passenger cars.
