Location is great. Close to the center on foot but in a peaceful area close to a river where one can swim. The accommodation is well equipped and spacious, very pleasant. Communication with the host is fluid, she is always available and attentive to needs.

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Beautiful location, great bars, restaurants all within walking distance. You can walk to the church and the old bridge. Lovely river walks on both sides of the river with an easy walkway easily marked. Parking is free, near the residence. Walk up to the 3rd floor is manageable. Washing machine with detergent. The shower has nice pressure, and the beds are "firm" European style. The views are spectacular.

This place is great! About 35 min outside of downtown Porto. Easy to find and Liana was super communicative. They left a bottle of wine, & chocolate along with robes. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, this place has everything you need! Everyone was so helpful and the place was so charming. ❤️

We absolutely loved the apartment. The surrounding area was beautiful and calm, the sound of waterfall was very relaxing. The view from the window just amazing 🤩 The river beach 5 min walk down by the road. We stayed at two bedrooms apartment and place just was spotless. Full of Portuguese character with the modern twist. Bright and spacious. Everything that you need is there. You need a car definitely there. Check in and check out was straight forward. All instructions were provided. We didn’t have any problems. We would recommend the place 💯 present. And hope some else would enjoy as we did.

The house is fantastic, with plenty of space inside, as well as outside. Spectacular pool, my daughters loved it. Orchard with a variety of fruit trees, from which we can harvest and enjoy. Weekly bed linen and towel changes, with the kindness of Dona Cristina (the lady who takes care of the house) We'll definitely be back. Paulo Ferreira

Very cute little house on the edge of the Rio, converted into a mill, it is rustic but at the same time everything has been arranged and thought out to have a good time, with all the possible comforts (and even games available, a coffee machine etc). There is plenty of space to put yourself, although the house is very dark as it is in old walls, but the garden is simply beautiful. Between the sound of the stream that passes below the terrace, the flowers and the deckchairs to settle in, we were in paradise! Everything was clean and in place for our arrival. The house is right next to a bridge and we went for a walk around it was really nice. A very nice restaurant is 2 minutes' drive from there for a more chic atmosphere that is also enjoyable! The property is sat above the river in a deep valley , it has wonderful views in a very beautiful location and it was a pleasure to stay at whilst in Portugal. Roads can take you in many different directions , traffic is light , highways a joy to drive on compared to the busy highways in the UK. Host met us on arrival and covered the ‘ need to knows ‘ and once settled we rarely needed to contact. I covered the north and north east of Portugal as well as Porto and down to Lisbon . My trip was an absolute pleasure and sitting with a glass of wine looking over the valley at night was bliss.

The airbnb was perfect, the view, the comfort and the friendliness of the hosts. Thank you so much for a great stay. I will take this airbnb again if I come to the Douro!

It is a very nice house, located in a peaceful environment. Gloria's welcome was very cordial and owners Ana and Victor were available to let us know what to do when we arrived in the evening. We came there 5 years ago and will be back if possible.

If you are trying to find an authentic and unique place to stay, you should definitely go to A Padaria Farmhouse. My family and I stayed in the house for 9 days and it was so relaxing to live for a while in the middle of nowhere. The house is beautifully decorated and the choice of the materials was made with lots of love. We particularly appreciated the choice of Portuguese brands. It was a beautiful experience. You can try and experience a lot. The pool and the entire facility is very clean and beautiful. The apartment was cozy and modern. Particularly noteworthy is the delicious cake and the friendly hostess. Thank you for the wonderful time!

It's been two weeks since we left this beautiful home in the Douro Valley and we are all still dreaming about it. It was the perfect environment for our family to come together and relax and soak in the beautiful scenery. The house itself is gorgeous with views of the river from every room. The house was complete with everything necessary and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals together. The hostess was exceptionally warm and friendly and answered our questions in a reasonable time. If you want to relax, unwind and recharge this is definitely the place. We are all looking forward to returning one day!
