Spectacular Mountain Retreat

Cottage is the guest house of our country home. Situated on a mountain with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge and access to many hiking trails; biking; fishing and swimming in private pond only steps from the door. Cottage is located within easy driving distance of multiple wineries, Sky Line Drive and Shenandoah National Park; Montpelier; and restaurants and shops. We can accommodate no more than one dog, with prior permission. In April 2023, we again upgraded our internet (see below).

The authentic log cabin includes a cozy stone fireplace, porch, and patio with Old Rag views. Ponds, wildlife and hiking also available on the sprawling 300-acre property. Designed/built by a Hollywood actor and situated in wine country, this home is an hour from Dulles, 45 minutes from Charlottesville & 15 minutes from Culpeper. We have an adjacent farmhouse if you need additional space. Great venue for weddings, bachelorettes, and other special events.

Peaceful Secluded Old Rag Retreat

The spacious one bedroom yurt is located high on a forested hillside in the middle of 15+ acres. Come enjoy a natural and serene getaway with all the comforts of home- a full kitchen (ie, all utensils, setting for four), a bathroom with shower and laundry, a queen bedroom, and a queen foldout sofa in the living room by the wood burning stove. The windows roll up from the outside and have permanent screens inside. There is also a BBQ grill, a separate firepit, and WiFi via satellite.

Boasting a primary loft bedroom w/ a queen bed and a bonus room w/ a full bed, this home away from home can comfortably sleep 4-5! Front porch swing & fenced yard for the pups to play. Guests can completely relax!

Near Early Mtn Vineyards, Prince Michelle, Yoder's Market, Bald Top Brewing & Plow & Hearth. A 30 min drive to Charlottesville, Greene, Shenandoah Nat. Park, Culpeper & Orange, w/ shopping, restaurants, breweries, hiking, antiquing, site seeing & more. Dogs allowed- $30 fee.

Pet Friendly Cottage on 21 acre farm

Enjoy the lovely, quiet setting on 21 acres. Newly renovated 2 story bank barn will be your home away from home. Soft, muted colors, zen feel. Come relax, hike, ride your bike, go wine and craft beer tasting, Copper Fox Distillery, has nice gin and bourbon if you prefer. Visit Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park, or shop at Sperryville gift shops, restaurants, antique markets and art galleries. Old Rag Mountain is only 20 minutes away!

Time for a quiet retreat to the country. Summer is here! Good time to hit the hiking trails. (Or just stay cocooned inside!) Here's a totally modern cottage for up to four people for whom camping and even our Hayloft Cottage may seem a bit too rustic. The back door opens up to a porch and a spacious 1.5 acres of fenced-in area (shared with Hayloft dog owners and our mutts), perfect for your four-footed friends (dogs only; limit 2).
