It has a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and Mountain of the island of Pico.

Praia do Almoxarife - Casa da Partira "the grinding"

About 4 km north of the city of Horta, you'll find Almoxarife Beach. In the "grinding" space, there is life in every corner, in the garden there is a water cistern and a threshing floor. It has a traditional moth architecture that dates back to the beginning of the last century. In grinding, a philosophy based on the traditional and sustainable is practiced. It consists of: apartment, garden, craft workshop, farm with animals, vegetables, fruits and seeds of traditional varieties.

Grandfather Francisco's House

Once a traditional wine cellar, built by Francisco Paulo in 1980, this villa served for many years as a production site and warehouse for the Paulo family's wine. The wine cellar has been remodeled and expanded, but it maintains the traditional elevations and the decoration and details of the times when it was used as a wine cellar. Next to the bathing area, it has a view that invites long nights of conversation.

Ocean view in UNESCO Heritage Site

Solar-powered wine house located in the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a couple of minutes driving from Madalena village, this traditional and remodeled wine house has its own vineyard on the backyard. A cozy space for two with a bedroom, kitchenette open to living room and a bathroom. The wine house is overlooking the ocean, Faial island and Pico mountain.

You will find this holiday home at Porto Calhau - only a 10 minutes drive from Madalena. There is one big bedroom for 5 people ( 1 double bed, and a bunk bed for 3 people), one living room with a kitchenette, bathroom with a shower and a toilette. It also has a terrace where you can enjoy beautiful sunset.
