Holiday houses in Macon County

This is the third time I’ve booked with Sonja at the lodges and each time I’ve been very pleased with my experience. This time we had a few challenges but Sonja and Jeff jumped to action and were very accommodating. Excited to return next year.

Tin Roof Sundae Cabin is cozy, it feels like a home away home. The master suite is a perfect mini getaway within the cabin. Separate library, sitting area with a large bathroom. 600 acres to roam made it easy to explore and close to "home." Great for folks with dogs. The pond is a great afternoon/sunset spot. Also wonderful for fishing. Views from porches are breathtaking. Our kids loved the 7 layer bunk beds. Fantastic idea for the space. Rustic look with all the modern ammenities.

This was a home away from home. Clean and comfortable. Sonja was an outstanding host. I would definitely recommend her and stay there again.

We hadn't been to the area b4, so was grateful for our GPS! Travis made sure we had the best cabin, with a wonderful view and accessibility. Perfect size for the 2 of us. Everything we needed was there, and he was so quick to respond when wifi and internet weren't working upon arrival. Had a great time checking out the area, enjoying a different town and food place each day. Missouri was beautiful this time of year, lush and green.

We have stayed here multiple times for work in the area. The house is always clean and ready for us. If you are doing work at Thomas Hill this place is perfect.

This mother-in-law suite was very easy to find. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet and we felt very safe staying there. The beds, furniture, and surroundings are comfortable and clean and the rustic decor is as cute as can be. The suite is more spacious than it appears from the outside. The living area, kitchen, laundry and bath are all on the main level and the two bedrooms are upstairs separated by a landing featuring a sitting area. We are all fairly tall and had to duck at one point on steps to the loft but it really wasn't a problem (the decor features lots of ducks, too). Our hosts were friendly and helpful, too. We were a little confused by the hot water instructions we were given and reached out for clarification. They responded promptly and even came over to give us a little demonstration. There's a little trick to "waking up" the tankless water heater but it works great and we had plenty of hot water.
