This booking is a chance to stay in a real Tuscan Farmhouse that is situated inside an actual vineyard. Its a private property of the owners of the estate, completely refurbished to give every possible comfort but still live in the middle of nature. The setting is absolutely breathtaking amongst the rolling tuscan hills, far away from the noise of the concrete jungle and busy streets. Here the only noise you will hear is the chirping of the birds or faraway hum of the tractor in the fields.
The space
The Tuscan sun soaks into the stone walls of this 17th-century farmhouse—and into the grapes clustered in the organic vineyards in the surrounding Chianti countryside. The Roman road from Siena to Florence once traced these hills; today, they’re home to the 70-hectare Montemaggio estate, which produces organic wine and olive oil. Siena is 40 minutes away by modern road; Florence, 1 hour.
Smell the flowers in the gardens, pick fresh mulberries and figs to snack on, and see if you and the kids can find the playhouse hidden away on the estate’s grounds. There’s a private gym for workouts, a swimming pool for refreshment, and a rooftop terrace just made for the evening’s first bottle of local wine.
While the villa still has some of its 17th-century farmhouse charm—spot beamed ceilings, doorways framed in elaborate molding, and a wide hearth on the living room fireplace—it’s been fully renovated. A pair of plump sofas invites you to stay a while in the living room, and there are plenty of chairs around the dining table that takes center stage in the fully equipped kitchen.

Be sure to ask about the festivals in nearby villages, which range from celebrations of wine to a fete dedicated to bruschetta. Beyond Tuscany’s medieval towns and fortresses, the cities of Siena and Florence are close enough for a day trip.

Guest access
The house offered is called Casa Torre and has 3 bedrooms, 3 en suite bathrooms, living room and large professional kitchen together with the dining room. The house is completely refurbished to give every comfort, from the underfloor heating in the bathrooms to parquet throughout the property, central heating and air conditioning. There is a possibility to use the swimming pool and the gym. The house is occupied some times, so there might be some personal items like pictures on the walls or paintings. The house is situated inside the vineyard and an operational cellar. There wont be a complete privacy of the entire 9H territory during the day. During the week days there might be workers working around the cellar, degustation rooms and often tourist visiting the estate. Pool and the gym territory is private. In addition if you will be bringing your children along, they will find a lot to do wondering the nature, playing at the kids playground with swings even for the smallest ones and serving tea at the tree house - a dream come true for any child!
Other things to note
There is a possibility to book lunches and tours, various other activities that we can propose and cater to, cooking classes and courses. Since the house has parquet everywhere, it is required to take off the shoes upon the entrance. The property has the gym and the pool of guests private use, however the swimming pool is covered and not usable between the month of October and May. The weather conditions would not permit the use of the pool and it is not heated to be used outside of summer months.
