The space
Beach roses perfume the pool and garden at this modern-classic Nantucket home. Newly built but traditionally inspired, the villa charms with shingle walls and multi-paned windows, while nautical stripes and coral prints are subtle nods to the sea. It’s a short drive from the museums, lighthouse, and laid-back restaurants in town.

Soak up summer in New England in a lounger around the pool and hot tub, popping into the pool cabana to refresh your drink. An upper-level deck hosts a firepit, and the garden is home to an alfresco dining area tucked amid the flowers.

Shiplap walls and wood floors make this contemporary home feel like a stylish piece of history. Stretch out on the pair of sofas in the living room, catch up on reading in the office, take a perch at the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen for the day’s first cup of coffee, and finish evenings with a seafood dinner around the table in the dining room. A blue, white, and tan color scheme is a chic way to bring the beach indoors, as is the artwork.

The villa sits at the edge of the town of Nantucket, the island’s hub and home to a range of restaurants, ice cream shops, casual cafes, and more.
