Les Terrasses was built 1977 onto the rockface and ideally facing south-west with breathtaking sea views from almost every room.
Through a private driveway, you access the private glass elevator. The first stop will take you to the large infinity pool with an unbeatable view over the Bay. The second stop will give you the access to the Villa via a pathway hewn through Rock Walls. Turn left and enter the Villa. There you are, once you enter the house, there are no words to describe the moment.

The space
Terraces, great room, and bedrooms all command sea views at this contemporary Côte d’Azur villa. Built into the rock face above the Bay of Villefranche, this modern home balances natural scenery—rocks, pines, water—with sheets of windows and even a glass elevator. Drive 3.5 kilometers downhill to the colorful buildings and clear-water beaches in Villefranche-sur-Mer.

This villa is all about the views, whether you spot cruise ships from the infinity swimming pool on the rooftop, claim a spot on one of the plentiful chaise longues, or watch the sunset over dinner from the barbecue at the alfresco dining area.

And the panoramas don’t stop when you step indoors, thanks to nearly wall-to-wall windows overlooking both the harbor and the hillside. Clean-lined pieces like chrome armchairs, a hanging fireplace, and minimalist pendant lights add interest but not distraction in the living room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. Each of the 5 suite-style bedrooms is designed to offer sea views in a solarium-like setting.

This vacation rental is just above the town of Villefranche-sur-Mer, a Riviera classic that’s a favorite retreat for royalty and celebs, and a favorite filming location for Hollywood. Pack a picnic to eat on one of the town’s public beaches or ease into the rhythm of life in France and stop at a waterfront café for a drink. You’re also close enough to Nice and Monaco for a day trip along the coast.
