Though the name of this vacation rental translates roughly to “the barn at Montesoli,” it’s been lovingly renovated into a luxury getaway in the countryside near Siena. Reserve its four bedrooms for an Italian escape with friends and family, or for a honeymoon that’s truly away from it all.

Il Fienile sits on manicured grounds with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Watch the sun move across the landscape from a lounger on the terrace by the pool, relax in the outdoor sauna, play a game on the bocce court or see what’s growing in the vegetable garden. After sunset, heat up the barbecue for dinner at the al-fresco table or have a glass of local wine inside by the TV and Wi-Fi.

Traditionally charming on the outside, the villa is classically elegant on the inside. High ceilings, wood floors and arched doorways distinguish the two refined sitting areas, which feature rich tones of red and cream.
