“Thanks Howard for us stay at your amazing and beatiful property, you are very easy going and a very humble human being, the location is outstanding and exactly what we were looking for, the view over looking the Hawkesbury River was spectacular and even better than we had expected! Howard did say the cottage was modest and we found it perfect for what we needed and that was to escape the city and relax some where private! The only one thing I would recomend to other visitors is to bring and organise your supplies and own food before arriving, this way you get to spend more time enjoying the property, we had to drove to Wisemans Ferry IGA and found it very expensive and limited stock! We also made very good use of the BBQ and we were able to improvise with our cooking which was perfect for us! Two of my favourite features were the water access to the pontoon, jetty and river, the outdoor fire pit we found very user friendly and easy to get a roaring fire going which kept us warm for hrs, it was so beautiful and relaxing siting by the fire, drinking red wine, watching the river and staring at the stars, this was truly one of the best things I have done for years and we can't wait to come back to this outstanding cottage and location!”

“We loved the surroundings and the friendly staff that were happy to show us around and explain how farm life is. We love the friendly animals and the ability to interact with them. The river and free to use kayaks was a great delight. We spent half a day kayaking on the river. Overall great holiday.”
Idyllic place on 2 acres on the Hawkesbury River to relax and unwind from city living. Plenty of grassed area to play and use of a nearby boat ramp for a small fee.
“The drive in was exciting, dodging wallabies grazing on the roads edge. When we arrived, the views were stunning as were the grounds. The cabin was warm & cozy, more likely the house as it was too big to be classed as a cabin. Central heating, new appliances & comfortable beds & furniture made our stay wonderful. The new BBQ on the balcony also got quite a workout. The wildlife was awesome, dozens of native bird species regularly visiting. The wallabies were a bit harder to spot (mostly on the far bank) but it was a great excuse to sit on the balcony, drink in hand for extended periods. The best was the fire pit by the rivers edge where we sat into the night chatting & gazing at the stars. Thank you Tanya for the opportunity to enjoy Lower Portland on the Hawkesbury.”
