Bothag Bhuirgh Family pod

The family pod has a small double bed and two single beds. There is a kettle in the room as well as tea bags, coffee, sugar sachets, milk portions. The family pod has private use of the pod next door, which has a toilet, shower and wash hand basin. All toiletries, linen and towels provided. It is most suitable for a couple with 2 children, or 3 adults. It would be a tight squeeze for 4 adults. The guests can have shared use of the barn with campers and it has all amenities required for cooking.

Our Island house is located 3.8 miles (9 mins by car and on main bus route) from Stornoway, the Capital of the Western Isles. The house has beautiful sea views across Broadbay and the Minch, it is a short walk to the nearby beach. The property belongs to my partner but I help with the admin of his holiday home venture. My partner is a builder and finished renovating the house in July 2019. He stripped back the property to the bare bricks and basically started again from four walls.

Heron's View is a lovely, light, airy, spacious and well presented glamping pod. It has all you need for a comfortable stay from a well kitted out kitchen, bathroom with full size shower to a comfortable sitting area. It has a double bed and the sofa converts to a double bed. It benefits from underfloor heating. It has an unique position with an uninterrupted view of the sea and surrounding landscape. It takes its name from the two Heron's that nest on the island opposite the pod.

To ensure you have a good night's sleep the camping mattresses were replaced by a comfortable mattress right from the start. Situated in the village of Mangersta on the Atlantic coast of Lewis, the pod is a few minutes walk away from a remote beach and stunning cliff walks. This is an area of exceptional natural beauty with over 20 beaches as well as beautiful moorland and lochs.
