Very clean place with an easy to reach host

Our stay at cabin 2 was wonderful. Everything was clean, Alex was incredibly responsive & welcoming as always (we've stayed at the cabin next door twice in the past). Bathroom towels, and dish cloths + towels were provided. There is an electric element for cooking, but I'd recommend bringing a camping stove if available and you plan to cook on a stove a lot. Toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and BBQ all work great. Thank you for another great stay, Alex, we'll be back!

Very original entire place. Five shipping containers transformed into a house! Original interior with warm finish and small industrial side. Quiet and tranquil environment. In summer the lake view must be very beautiful, and we were not able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor terrace on the second floor because of the winter season. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is very well stocked with good quality appliances. However, the accommodation could be less suitable for a family with young children given the narrow and rather steep staircase, and the kitchen very open. Same comment for people with limited mobility, however there is an accessible bedroom on the ground floor with a sofa bed. The upstairs bedrooms are good size but do not have closed partitions, rather privacy curtains. We had a great time, and had the chance to meet the co-owner, very friendly. Definitely recommend!

The listing could be a bit clearer on the tuning water, bathroom and electrical situation.

We enjoyed this stay, but it wasn't clear from the listing just how off the grid it was. No electrical outlets (though there was an arrangement for charging devices), no cell coverage, no WiFi, no running water (equipped with a very effective pump from a well for drinking water, and a supply of non-potable water for showers, etc.). Would absolutely recommend it, but you should know what you're getting into :-)
