Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. Visitors can either swim or boat from their private beach, go for a cycle (bikes available) or simply sit at an outside table and take in the spectacular scenery. Joyce's cottage is one of two adjoining traditional cottages (the other being Derrypark Cottage which is also available for rent).
