Holiday rentals with lake access in Lorain County

We enjoyed our stay here for a few days! Close to the lake and only a couple minutes drive to get into town. The Airbnb had pretty much everything we needed.

We stayed at Lorrie's house for the weekend of our child's graduation from Oberlin College. Lorrie was so responsive and flexible when I asked for an earlier check-in and whether we could host a small gathering of our college student's friends one evening. The house was perfect for the 7 adults we had in our party and could have easily accommodated more! There are many indoor spaces for mingling and relaxing, the kitchen is very well appointed and the bedrooms are so comfortable. Our weather was divine, so we were really able to utilize and enjoy the amazing backyard with it's wonderful seating areas and awesome Lake Erie vista. We had a meal outside and enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit. There were many extra chairs and tables conveniently located in the garage for our outdoor fun. We made many trips to and from Oberlin, but the house set up made us feel like we were really on vacation. Thank you for your hospitality Lorrie and we would highly recommend a stay in your lovely home!

This was my first time staying in an Airbnb and it was better than I could imagine. Deedee’s home was cozy and eclectic, my bed was so comfy, and it was super clean. Everyone had plenty of space for themselves. The roof deck was wonderful with all the birds chirping and the view of Lake Eerie. Thank you , Deedee, for being a fantastic host and letting us enjoy your lovely home!

The home was beautifully decorated and spotless!!! My family and I loved our weekend stay. The home was fully stocked with everything that we needed and plus some. You can tell that the host intentionally tried to think of everything to make sure their guest are comfy. From the coffee and flavored creams, to the cable TV, to the decor and snacks. Oh and bonus, Cedar Point was only a 30 min drive away. Thank you for a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay as the house was very comfortable. Just a few houses away from the lake, and beautiful yards to view also. We would have loved to enjoy the backyard deck, but the rain changed those plans. The house was well stocked with amenities that you don’t find at every Airbnb anymore. There was a nice variety of coffee k cups, as well as plenty of towels and toilet paper. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at this Airbnb was amazing. There is so much more to offer than the listing shows. We came for a trip to Kalahari and the drive was not bad at all. We cooked 4-5 times and had every utensil available in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the media room gave us so much to do inside. The rain did stop us from using the deck as much, but it was a beauuuuutiful view! One of the most amazing I’ve seen of Lake Erie. The place felt like a home, especially with the personal knick knacks. The interior design itself was beautiful and extremely well put together. One of the best parts was the hot water. We could all shower after the water park at the same time and never ran into an issue. The neighborhood is calm and helpful. We needed a jump on our car and the neighbor Mike was a hero in helping us. Everything was great 10/10!!!

I wanted a quiet retreat for a few days. Andrea’s cottage was perfect. Very comfortable, great amenities, well equipped cottage. Her neighbors were delightful and welcoming when I walked my dog and the area is very quiet and felt very safe. Important for me as I was traveling alone. So grateful to find this lovely space and that Andrea and her partner have made it available to others. Would love to return.

Great apartment—tons of space, really clean, comfortable beds, and a nice master bedroom suite upstairs. The apartment is in a really unique group of apartments that surround an interior courtyard space—so there’s a walk and small front “yard” area outside of the front door of the apartment. It was a great place to sit and read, have a cup of coffee, or do some work. The building is right on Main Street in Lorain so you are right across the street from the Palace Theatre and it’s a pretty short walk to the lake. The entrance and parking is around back, which was a little confusing at first, but it was convenient and easily accessible once we figured that out. We’d definitely stay here again.

Michelle went above and beyond. I rented 2 apartments for 6 months. They were clean. Everything you needed to feel like home. No delay in communication. Will continue to rent from them.

My wife and I plan to book a long weekend this summer bring the Kayaks and check out the gorgeous lake.

Place was super easy to find, absolutely beautiful and such a cute house right on the lake. Neighbors were really friendly and helpful as well. When I walked in to the house it was just absolutely perfect for my friends and I for our weekend together, you could feel the place felt loved and the views were amazing. It was nice to look out on the lake while eating breakfast and watching the sunset at night. I also really appreciated the recommendations that were listed on the note on the fridge.

Enjoyed our stay, felt bigger than anticipated and easily accomodated our group of 12. The seperate sleeping areas were great. Outside area was good for the kids to run around and nice quiet area to walk. Kids did love the pool table.

I think this is my fourth stay at The Deans List so it has become my home away from home for the annual buddy fishing trip. The home is perfect, 100 yards from Lake Erie with a large private lawn. Beds are comfortable, kitchen well furnished and baths stashed with amenities. For rainy days, everything from television to board games, and a fire pit when it’s not. Highly recommended except that week in June when we want to get in for our fishing retreat.
