Port-Royal stays busy. Visitors pass through this everyday neighborhood’s simple cafes and markets on their way to trendier destinations like Quartier Latin, but they often miss what’s best about Port-Royal. This utilitarian neighbourhood balances its productive inclinations with leisurely promenades alongside its campuses and hospitals. Port-Royal’s central location provides pedestrian-friendly access to nearby attractions—Paris’ world-famous catacombs run beneath neighbouring Montparnasse.See places to stay Save this neighbourhood

Marc Olivier Le Blanc
Marc Olivier Le Blanc specialises in commercial and editorial portrait photography. Although he's currently based in the vibrant Mission neighbourhood of San Francisco, he returned to his native France to shoot Paris for this project through a traveller's eye. He always strives to turn both the ordinary and the unusual into something extraordinary.
Oliver Knight is a freelance photographer who divides his time between two bases in Paris and London. Upon graduation from Camberwell College of the Arts he began shooting for a number of editorial clients. A decade later he has harboured numerous long standing professional relationships regularly shooting editorial features for magazines, travel guides and inflight publications. When not behind the camera he enjoys cycles along the French coast and watching the world go by from his favourite cafe terraces with a cup of tea close at hand.
