This is a beautiful property: a pair of little houses set in a lush garden. A lot of attention to detail in decor and equipment available to renters. We would certainly stay here again!

Casa Bartzis, Close to Orosi and Tapanti Nat. Park

IvaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house is beautiful the area is extremely peaceful. Merari welcomed us and showed us around the house and how to use some appliances. The Costa Rican breakfast was delicious and my step mom really enjoyed her massage. They come to the house, we didn’t have to go anywhere. We ran out of some essentials but conveniently enough, there’s a Walmart less than 20 minutes away. Extremely satisfied with our stay. Thank you Vera and Merari

Nature surrounded cabin - rafting, horses & forest

MarcusRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This stay is very worth it. Nothing quite like having several hundred hectares of rainforest all to yourself to explore at sunrise, or more red-eyed tree frogs than I've ever seen in one place in the pond. (I recommend going to see the pond at night) Very friendly owner who gave us great recommendations for food, where to see specialty birds on the place, etc. Some reviews comment on the traffic that can be heard from the cabin but it was no issue at all to us once inside the cabin. Swings for the children, beautiful observatory deck, a road to the Pacuare River, this place is beautiful all for an accessible price. Thanks Alfonso!

Pachamama is an incredible place to stay. We met amazing people and caught awesome waves basically every day. Franz, the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful. He’s been here forever and knows all the tips! They can arrange rides, ATVs, laundry, massages, haircuts, and more for you. Even help with food deliveries! Phillipa, his daughter, is also incredibly kind and attentive. You’ll love it here!

Riverfront Villa with Pool, A/C, & Nature Park

TriciaRating, 5 stars15 months ago
The most beautiful little jungle oasis. I visited for nine days during Envision Festival and despite all of the units having people in them, it was quiet and peaceful, and I had the pool to myself for a chunk of time almost every night, and got to float in the river! I wish I had arrived a couple days early or stayed longer. The little kitchenette was great and the little patio was my haven in the mornings. Hosts were lovely—they helped me get my bearings with travelling solo in a new country. So very helpful! Chris even took me to the festival so I didn’t miss my excursion one morning when I couldn’t get a drive. I found getting a cab or Uber to pick me up VERY difficult and coming home at night most of the cab drivers wouldn’t drive down the last laneway because it is a dirt road and steep. It’s not very long, so I ended up just walking it. Something to note if you are travelling without a car. If you have one you’ll be fine! Laundry on site was a blessing but there’a a fee.

Natures blessing, full Serenity!

ScottRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful farm setting, tons of birds and wildlife with amazing 360 views of the land and mountains, waterfalls and rivers run thru the property. The home itself was well equipped and beautifully laid out. Felt completely safe, thanks to Findly and Pete. Both are 2 of the most friendly and well trained dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure to get to know. Mason and Megan met us and showed us the lay of the land and were always nearby and helpful with our questions. Would and will be visiting again. Thanks for a wonderful ending to our Costs Rican adventure!

Refugio San Antonio - 1500 acre Private Preserve

JanetRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We spent 9 days at RSA, a truly unique and memorable time. The property is beautiful and buzzing with life. Being in the misty clouds felt surreal. We saw 100s of hummingbirds and many other birds, toads, insects, and butterflies. The variety of flowers and plants in the garden is amazing. Hiking the “puma trail” was like another world, with dense moss covered trees and hanging vines. We highly recommend touring the property with Fabian - so kind/knowledgeable/passionate. Jan and the caretaker family are also SO helpful and considerate. The home was sparkling clean. There is a huge library of books. The beds are comfortable. The coffee harvested on site is delicious! Mornings were especially lovely. A few things: a 4x4 with good clearance and a confident driver are a MUST as the road is quite steep and rocky; 2 of the 3 access roads were closed, so local attractions and amenities were hard to visit/further than expected; for kids under 5, the trails are too steep/muddy. Thank you! ?

Casa de Campo Assisi, Copey de Dota

Sara KevinRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Seidy and her husband are incredible hosts. The house is better in real life than pictures on Air B&B can reveal! Highly recommend this spot. Our family felt right at home & wished we could have stayed longer. Very private and quiet. Active working farm. Again...Seidy is so kind. She met us at the door when we checked in, had fresh eggs, apples, tea and avocados waiting in the kitchen. She even offered to make us breakfast in the morning, which was beautiful and delicious! The house is incredibly clean. Do not look further for another house in Dota/ Copey. Reserve with Seidy... excellent all-around!! (:

Our stay at this home was nothing short of magical. Waking up to the sounds of nature and watching toucans play in the trees each morning was an unforgettable experience. The views were absolutely breathtaking, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Afternoons by the pool were pure bliss, offering a serene escape surrounded by lush greenery. The home itself was beautifully designed, well-equipped, and provided all the comforts needed for a perfect stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in nature with luxury and charm, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Incredible Mountain Views

KarenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Nicely appointed home, in the hills of the jungle above the town of Dominical. Mary and Eddy were excellent hosts and responsive to our questions. They even bought new boogie boards for our use! You’ll definitely need a 4x4, but if you’re looking for something quiet and off the beaten path, you’ll enjoy this home. Thank you Mary and Eddy for a nice stay!

What a gorgeous space! The large room was the perfect spot for us to stop during our road trip. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen has everything we needed. Natalia and Don Miguel were wonderful to deal with. The farm is located in a perfect place in the mountains to see the country, the view was spectacular! We were happy to be travelling in a 4x4, however the road to the farm is mostly paved. There are sign outlining where to go, it was easy to find with the instructions. We would stay again. Thank you so much!

A truly magical experience surrounded by nature. This home is one-of-a-kind, built around massive boulders with artistic touches everywhere. Everything is designed for comfort, from the living room jacuzzi to the private river for cooling off. The kitchen is a dream, and the whole property feels like a private jungle retreat. Robert was a fantastic host, super friendly and attentive. We would absolutely come back!

Enjoy nature at Farm Rubber Tree

PaulaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Walter is a kind, generous host with great pride in his home. Although the place was difficult to find, Walter met us to guide us i to the proper place. The home is small but perfect for one person or a couple. Unfortunately, there were two people. Each needing a bed. Walter came up with a reasonable option of an air mattress. Even though I am an old lady, I slept well. He also provided a personal tour of the area, and the town. If we had stayed longer, additional tours would be available. The hone is Very secure! Maybe too many locks and keys. All in all a good one night stay.

Rinconcito de Baru. We are surrounded by waterfalls

AnnRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My family and I had a great stay here! The location is absolutely gorgeous. Pérez Zeledón is magical…you just need to go, but bring four wheel drive (steep dirt roads). The apartment is spacious with very high ceilings. We felt right at home. The hostess Teresita is lovely and I had the opportunity to practice my spanish. She has a little restaurant across the street where you can purchase a delicious home cooked meal. The dog that lives on the property is really sweet and enjoyed hanging out with us at breakfast time. My son really loved her (and he is usually afraid of dogs, so that is saying something). There are 2 beds and a fold out couch/chair that fit 4 of us perfectly. The balconies in the morning are amazing with views of the hillside, valley and jungle. The birds activity is insanely wonderful. I thought the kitchen could have used a little less plastic and more wood/stainless steel options, but Teresita brought us what we needed, so all good!

Private Riverfront with 2-Acre Organic Food Forest

DonRating, 5 stars4 months ago
You'd have to search a long, long time to find a more helpful, generous, and gracious hostess than Laura. She went out of her way to help us with a problem we had in getting to her place. There was a bowl of fresh fruit harvested from her property waiting for us in the kitchen, and Laura had put four fresh coconuts in the fridge, already husked and ready for us tothe cold milk. Laura also included us in a nice birthday cookout for one of the men who works there. This is a great place to rest and recuperate from traveling. The house is beautifully built and very comfortable. The king-size bed and the walk-in shower are luxurious. The washer & dryer allowed us to leave with clean clothes in our suitcases. The nights were quiet; the stars and the sound of the river were wonderful. We had a car but never left the property. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I've seen in Airbnb rentals and there was coffee & tea. We could have lived for several days on the items in the pantry.
