“This cabin is a great find. It’s picture-perfect setting on a quiet cove of Lake Huron is located about 30 minutes from St. Ignace ferry to Mackinac Island and two miles from idyllic small town of Hessel. Both town and property are full of charm and character. There was something for everyone in our family from canoe and 4 kayaks, small motorboat, dock house, unattached private suite, and a quiet back road to Hessel great for biking and running. Quick communication, easy instruction, and the simplicity of the property made our stay in the UP free from hassle. Thanks again. We’ll be back to enjoy this property again!:)”

“We had the most wonderful trip, and RaeAnn (and her HBH apt) were the added touch to a safe and cozy stay! We were central to everything we wanted to do, and found our apt to be “home” at the end of a long day of touring the sites! RaeAnn provided lots of info on things to do, many of which we took her advice on!We enjoyed walking down to the Hessel Beach each night for Sunset, and loved grabbing coffee down the street in the mornings. We were sad to leave!! Thanks RaeAnn!”
An UP north outdoor experience. The cabin was built in the 1960's and refurbished for today's comfort. Rustic yet comfortable. Hiking , wildflowers, streams, ferns , ponds; Photographic opportunity for birding; North Huron Birding Trail and the Grassland Birding Trail. Cedarville 15 minutes with fishing, swimming, kayaking; Sand beaches east of Cedarville. 45 minutes to Sault Ste.Marie. 45 minutes to St. Ignace and ferry to Mackinac Island. 90 minutes to Whitefish Pt.
“Set up as an amazing site for hunting with established trails and blinds, we enjoyed the privacy and absolute quiet of the location. There is plenty of room for everyone. Two large living spaces, huge dining room and well stocked kitchen with both stove/oven and additional cooktop give plenty of opportunity to cook just about anything! Everything was very clean and our host was very accommodating. Leave plenty of time to walk the trails and explore. We learned about Thimbleberries which were prolific during our stay and were found along much of the trail. A great get away.”
