This recently partly renovated old villa by the lake is a perfect getaway. Located right at the edge of the Nuuksio national park, you'll find things to do in the beautiful finnish nature any time of the year.
“We spend 2 nights there with 6 kids and 8 adults and all loved it! The host is a fast, friendly and cooperative communicator, and offers a great big home in nature: Very well equipped, many cosy corners to explore and spend time in, diverse sitting/eating possibilities (3x lake view via big tables in kitchen, living room and amazingly welcoming roofed terrace, plus towards the backyard near the sandpit - which is great with kids. Quite a steep garden & stair-walk down towards the lake, with a wonderful peer plus steps access (kids went round and round and round...:) and fantastic traditional sauna with awesome löyly!! Bed-wise the quality was very good (as all the other equipment); just note that 2 of the 5 bedrooms aren’t separated from the main open living room areas (ie “separated” stairs and curtains). Nonetheless, this is a pearl by the lake - and really great with kids thx to sandpit, diverse toys and games and baby equipment, lots of indoor & outdoor corners to discover, and even some wild berries in the garden to pick! So - we shall be back, with or without kids :)”
Peaceful studio apartment in a new house completed in 2015 with large balcony and private parking space. Good connections to Kauklahti by train and bus from downtown Helsinki. Public transport routes and timetables provide an online route guide to Tegelhagen By car, a 20-minute drive to the airport. Next to K-Market. https://www.hs.fi/kaupunki/espoo/art-2000006005764.html?cs=email
“I was down in the redecoration of my own apartment and this apartment did respond and exceeded expectations! Nice 12 days! Every day, there was a parking space in the parking lot of the house, which has a parking permit tag in the apartment. The K-shop is 100m away. In summer, the glazed balcony of the apartment would certainly be a nice place to stay.”
Boheemi's small cabin is full of fairy-tale ambience. However, sleeping places can be found up to a dozen. The distance from Helsinki center is only half an hour. The luukki outdoor area, forest trails, golf courses and the manor restaurant are a short walk away, but the cottage is in the forest, on the shore and in its own quiet.
“This is an amazing cabin. Very vintage and old school with a great sauna (old-school with wood fire) by the lake. You can feel that this place is not simply a cabin for rent, but this was their family's summer cabin for decades. If you really want to enjoy traditional Finnish summer cabin by the lake (and not a 5-star resort...), this is highly recommended. Jouko & Magi are wonderful hosts and great people too.”
