“This place is one train stop away from the Fiumicino airport - stop is Parco Leonardo. Price of train from airport is 8 euros one way per person. Once you get to parco Leonardo you need to head over to the shopping mall direction across the platform and you do so by taking the elevator one floor up and then crossing to the other side. Once you get out of the train station turn immediately left and keep waking for 3 to 5 minutes until you see the apartment building to your right. Google maps led me astray and it took me through the mall and out the back side of the building which has no entrance so I want to save you the trouble if you book this place. Finally you can get from Catia’s apartment to Rome within 45 minutes by taking a train from the same station (cost is 2 Euros and some change) and then connection to Rome’s metro.”

“Catia's place is very nice, and very convenient to Rome's main airport. The bed is very comfortable, the living room and the bedroom both have a/c, useful if you're there over the summer. Catia's mum showed me everything--she speaks no English, but I speak some Italian, and so it worked just fine. In fact, as others have pointed out, she can show everything without needing to speak the same language as her guest(s). It's very nice that coffee is provided for the morning, as well as some breakfast items. There are a couple of things to note. First, and most important, do make sure that Catia knows the hour of your arrival, so that Catia's mum can meet you. Just going to the apartment won't help at all...although Catia's number is on a plaque outside the condominium where the apartment is, and that was extremely useful to me, after finally having found the place. Second, don't bother with Google Maps to get you there--you'll end up getting utterly lost. Instead, when coming out of the Parco Leonardo station, turn left along the road in front of the huge shopping mall. When that road turns to the right, follow the footpath that goes straight on, and join another road. That is the road you want, and at that point you're just 100 metres from Catia' place, on the right. Third, don't expect that your train fair will be any cheaper just because you're only one stop away from the airport...the cost is 8 euros regardless! Finally, if eating in a shopping mall for your last night in Italy isn't to your taste, there's a local bus that stops on the street between the station and the mall which takes you to Fiumicino (the small town, not the airport). I got out at the Mercure hotel, and just walked straight for maybe 1 km, and you'll find lovely seafood restaurants there. The last bus back leaves at about 21:45 (or so I was told by the driver on the way there) goes from the other side of the road (obviously) from the Mercure and a little closer to the restaurants. I got one back at 21:20, though, as I didn't want to miss the last one. The last stop on the way back is very close to the mall (which is easily visible). All perfectly safe, and a much better experience, I'd say, than eating in the mall. (Though I could be wrong....I didn't try it, after all!)”

“The apartment is beautiful, the beds are super comfy, and very secure. It is in a gated community of apartments, with a lock to the building, then of course another to the apartment itself. Monica does a great job with providing for her guests. We had snacks and beverages all available to us. The location is great for airport convenience, very close to the train station. It is also super convenient to hit the mall. My daughter wanted to check it out before we headed back to the US. We had one hick-up on finding the apartment, but that was because of Google Maps, and me not asking more questions. For anyone taking the train to the apartment. Take a right out of the train station, go past the B&B hotel, go past the cinema, go past what looks a parking structure. There will be an electronic gate, that is where we were supposed to meet up. Google Maps tried to bring me to the other side of the complex.”
