“If you're looking at this property, and reading these reviews, YOU NEED TO COME HERE!!! The log cabin was immaculate and Bruce was an INCREDIBLE host. He picked us up from the airport and on the ride to the cabin (about 1 hr) he started telling us about things we were seeing along the way. The cabin was IMMACULATE upon arrival and it was even better than the pictures you see here (because you're actually there!!) We spent alot of time with Bruce (because we booked all of our excursions through him prior to arrival) and he made sure to give us the best experiences at all of them. He has a team of people that work with him (that were all awesome as well) and he planned out our vacation according to days when the weather was good and the sites wouldn't be as busy etc. (for example we did a few things on days where no cruise ships were around, aka TONS of people, so we avoided those crowds!!) He also gives his guests a cellphone so that you can easily contact him if need be and would answer it immediately. You can tell that Bruce loves his country and wants to teach you all about it and give you the best experience as possible while you are staying at his property. Like it says in the description, the property is located near a small village and there are no restaurants/bars/stores within walking distance (so don't come here for the nightlife.) You can however buy fresh bread, cheese, icecream etc. from the Mennonites just down the road which I HIGHLY recommend!! There is also a store that has all of the essentials (booze, toilet paper, snacks and food etc.) in Bermudian Landing which we accessed by bicycles (which are also provided by Bruce) and it took us about 20 minutes (one way.) We loved hanging out in the hammocks on the covered porch and LITERALLY spent hours out there! The Howler Monkeys did come visit us a few times at the cabin (which was truly incredible!) We fed the turtles and fish everyday which was also awesome! There is NO WI-FI or TV so you must be there to ditch the technology and enjoy your beautiful surroundings! We would listen to the jungle come alive, have some drinks and play cards (which I HIGHLY recommend bringing) every night which was a nice change of pace!! In summary, you can probably tell that we TRULY enjoyed our stay at the log cabin and Bruce was an AMAZING host, he was like our Belizean dad while we were there (even though I think we're similar in age) and we always felt safe and well taken care of!! If you're looking to enjoy nature in Belize (and all the peace and tranquility that it has to offer) then this is the place for you!! We would go back in a heartbeat!”

“There are several houses on the property, and we stayed in the one at the back of the property, in the forest. It was a lovely stay, in a clean house with a kitchen. We enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves, and eat breakfast on the screen porch, watching the green jays, parrots, and agoutis wake up. We even had a troupe of howler monkeys right over the house our first morning there! Isabella Bank is a tiny, friendly little village. So, bring your own food , and enjoy its proximity to so much Nature! We loved the location - and being close to Lamanai trips (from Orange Walk), the Belize Zoo (a MUST - go back at 4 p.m., to see the jaguars all awake and wandering around!), and the nature reserves all around the area. The tours at the Community Baboon Sanctuary (Bermudian Landing) are close-by and SO informative and wonderful! The guides are locals, and know the howler monkeys and the local families who have become instrumental in saving this unique species. Because of their efforts, the population has grown from a few hundred to over 5000! It's an inspirational place to visit and learn about the power of community action!”
Early morning risings, wake up and watch the sunrise! Feel the clean, crisp, pollution-free, undisturbed air fill your nostrils. This is your chance and your own way to get away from the rat-race of those high-tech and high-stress places, come and enjoy and spend time, come and live with local folks and enjoy your experience.
“It was so far my best airbnb experience. The place was great. But the best was to meet Alice. She made me feel comfortable and it was fun to hangout with her. Even though it's a shared flat you feel like you are having your own flat. You will have your own bathroom and a nice room with a good bed. And the birds in the morning are going to wake you up :) So if you need private space you definitely get it here. Thank you Alice!”
