This room is in the top floor of my three storied house with big terrace infront of your room with a small garden with sufficient ventilation and fresh air. There is no lift in this building. Please make sure that this is not HOTEL and is purely a home. Many time you need to carry your own luggage to your room when there is no one or my Mom ( 70 years) and my wife is at home. I am also renting just a room not the entire house seen in the pictures. I have also temporarily shut down another room.
This bright little nest is the perfect place to relax and get immersed in the Newari ambiance of the old Patan while enjoying extreme calm. It has its own little sunny roof terrace, perfect to read, work and enjoy coffee in the morning ;-)
“This house is beautifully designed and right in the middle of Patan so everything you need is very close by. I didn't interact with the staff much but when I did they were super helpful and on my last day after checking-out they let me use a shower (it was hot) before a long overnight flight. They also arranged a taxi to the airport (and didn't overcharge me!). This is the only place I would stay if I came back to Patan.”
A small room with attached bathroom, in the heart of old Patan. Book there if you want to enjoy an authentic Newari House
“The room is just as pictured though a bit smaller than I expected (probably because of the low ceilings). There are three windows that open to the home’s inner courtyard. It’s quiet and protected from street noise. Prakash was able to supply a fan to help cool and provide airflow for the space. All the local recommendations provided were great. Staff at the Cosy Nepal office were friendly and helpful when I stopped by to ask for directions one day. Prakash and his wife arranged a very early morning breakfast and transportation the airport on the day of my departure which I really appreciated. Next time I visit, I’ll plan on taking a cooking class and maybe a walking tour with them. It was a lovely home stay with great hospitality and plenty of privacy.”
