“Great place in great location for exploring Leelanau Peninsula. It's not a large unit, but it works very well for two people. The owners are very accommodating. Two experiences stood out for us. The first was that the owner hauled (in his truck) two kayaks for our use on Lake Leelanau -- both to the landing and back. He worked around our schedule, and this was much appreciated. The second was an absolute Godsend. I was on the third (and last) long bike outings during my week there. My tire shredded, and I had no means to fix it. I was on a remote road about 6 or 7 miles from the rental. My car -- back at the rental -- was of little use to my wife (also back at the rental) since the wife cannot drive a manual transmission. Within about one hour, Lisa (owner) comes driving up in my car to rescue me. This was in the late afternoon. Truly amazing.”
Scandinavian modern home within a wooded setting, convenient to the towns of Leland, Suttons Bay, Northport, and Lake Leelanau. Walk to lake access, hike the cherry orchards, explore local wineries, distilleries and farm markets.
“Beautiful home and convenient location. The owner was extremely responsive to our questions and kept us updated regarding the restrictions with COVID-19. We love that Sean allows dogs! Beds were very comfortable. Space was extremely clean. Lots of clean linens, as well as toilet paper, soap, and other supplies. We cooked almost every meal at the house and found the kitchen to be very well stocked overall. There's also a good grill and fire pit. Lots of space for 2 people and our dogs. The high ceilings do mean noise travels fairly well (including from the two hallway bathrooms), so consider that if booking for a larger or non-family group if that might be a concern. Not much yard space for kids or dogs (mostly tall grass and a steep hill in the back), but our smaller dogs were fine walking along the driveway. Great overall experience, and we'll definitely be back!”

“You couldn't wish for a better spot to stay in the area! Communication with our hosts was clear and quick. Local tips were helpful. Easy to get to area beaches, wineries, and into town. House has plenty of style which helps set a great mood for the evenings in particular. All great amenities and finishing touches - thoughtful and appreciated as they made the stay that much more comfortable. We came during a heatwave with near 90° days at the end of June and while the lack of A/C was felt, as soon as it started cooling down, open windows along with the tree cover were really effective at keeping the house cool. Be aware, if you come with a little one, they will want to jump off the porch ledge - the draw of the woods will be too strong. It's not a big drop, but might be too much for the under 2 crowd to handle.”
