Old farm barn transformed in living area in 2018 , keeping the rough, rustic style of country living. Tiny log house is situated in the middle of farmyard. We have 3 lakes near to our property where You can find fishing opportunities, also beatiful castle of Stameriena(in construction now) and Gulbene - Alūksne railway- the last operational narrow gauge railway in the Baltics.
“Log cabin living at its finest! A beautifully detailed hipster revamp of the owner’s original family farm, with thoughtful touches and a modern feel. Our kids enjoyed an absolutely enchanting outdoor movie experience projected against the barn after dark, while the grown ups shared engaging conversation around the outdoor fire pit. The huge grassy lawn and grounds are well manicured, and we loved the splendour of the grain fields at sunset. The interior design of the cabin was what drew me to this listing in the first place, and it was even cooler than I anticipated! Einars and his wife offered hospitality that was truly above and beyond expectations. We plan to book again next visit to Latvia! This one deserves six stars!”

“Very comfortable place. Log house surrounded by ponds. The house has everything you need. Crockery, stove. On the second floor there is a large double bed, two single beds and a crib. The mattresses are comfortable, bedding, blankets, pillows in excellent condition and good in quality. It was nice to sleep. Downstairs on the ground floor there is also a fireplace. Sitting by the fireplace in the evening is a special pleasure. In addition, there is electric heating. If necessary, it can be turned on and the house, despite the winter time, is warm. Guests are welcomed by dad Jurgis. Martins is a very hospitable, interesting conversationalist, well-mannered and positive person. He told us everything, showed it. He lives in a separate house nearby. The guest house also has a sauna. It must be ordered separately. The sauna is very large. We were with two children and a husband. It turned out to be so spacious in the sauna that we could all lie on the shelves) On the street there is also another wonderful thing Hot tub. In it we also swam. The water inside is pretty hot and it's incredibly cool. When it's cold outside, and you're sitting in a hot open-air bathtub! Incredible sensations! The owner was right when he said that this is pure buzz! We stayed one night at Martins. To take a break from the bustle of the city. And it was a real relaxation! I recommend this place for a great vacation in the country! We will certainly come again!”

“We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Dace's place. Her father welcomed us and made sure the fireplace was running on arrival. Even though we arrived in the dead of winter, the place is very cosy. It has double glassed windows, so the heat stays in the cabin excellently. We mostly read in the cottage and made little daytrips - to Madona, Gauja National Park, Gulbene and Liepa -. The cottage is very clean and cosy, nice beds and you should definitely try the local canteen 'Ednica' in town. Many thanks to Dace for answering all of our questions and giving us tips of making the most of our stay!”
