“The best place in Italy to relax! We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the silence, the great view and the cosy house. One can feel that Ric and his family put lots of love in this place. Ric is very kind and passed by to welcome us and he gave us some great advice for hikingpaths and restaurants. Communication is very quick. The small village Rodello has a bakery for fresh bread in the morning and a little square for coffee/ drink/ pizza. We decided staying home most of the time because of the lovely silence (great place to read some books!) but in 10 minutes by car you get in Alba which is a beautiful little city with good restaurants, shops, etc. We had perfect apperativo there and spent a great evening. Thanks a lot, we will definitely visit you again!”
The apartment is in the center of Alba including a free private parking area in the building courtyard. Close to the train station, Piazza Duomo and Cortile della Maddalena. Air conditioning, free fast WI-FI, heating, 2 smart tv , washing machine, iron, hair dryer, shower. A fully furnished kitchen, dishes, microwave, kettle, espresso machine and moka. A double bed bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Outside there's a balcony with table and chairs to enjoy your breakfast.
“Alessandra and Diego's place is very nice. Alessandra met me at check-in and walked me through the apartment, its features, and how to work everything. She's very nice and very much wants to be sure her guests enjoy their stay. The apartment has a parking space in the building courtyard, which I used, and Alessandra met me out on the street on my arrival to open the gate and show me where to park, which was very helpful. Alessandra also met me at the apartment for check-out--she asked how I liked the apartment, my stay in Alba, and wished me good travels. The apartment is well-equipped for cooking, including a moka pot and a nespresso. I only made breakfast, but could have made pasta and salad. There is a washing machine with drying rack. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The shower was a bit tight in width (28-1/2 inches by 40 inches) but workable--it even had a multi-color shower head on the wand (it cycled from red to blue to green to yellow). And it had towel bars and hooks (something that most of the 10 Airbnbs I stayed in this trip did not have!). Lots of well-placed electrical outlets. The wifi was variable: one measurement by SpeedTest was 12Mpbs down/2Mbps up; another was 38Mbps down/19.3Mbps up. Even the lower speed is acceptable for most applications. The apartment is quiet, even though it's on a busy street. You can hear cars passing by, mostly during rush hours, but even then it's almost unnoticeable. There's a hospital nearby and I didn't hear even one ambulance in my 7 day stay. There is a supermarket and at least two caffès and a bakery a few minutes walk away. Lots of great restaurants and the main shopping street are less than 10 minutes walk. This apartment was a great base from which to explore Alba, and with the parking spot, also very easy to explore the great wine region of Langhe with its wine towns of La Morra, Barbaresco, Barolo, and multiple hill-towns. I would definitely stay here again.”
A house with panoramic views, surrounded by the vineyards of the great wines. Silence and relaxation, walking and resting. You can also have lunch and dinner. I are passionate about cooking. The typical Italian cuisine.
“We booked the house rather late based on a recommendation from a friend. We were thrilled by the fantastic view on the way up to the house, which is located on a hill top with a 360 degrees view on the wine fields. The host Carlo is the spirit of Italy with his intellect, kindness and welcoming approach to both adults and kids. He rapidly tunes in and adjust his advice according to his guests - and I am convinced that he can guide all kinds of people according to their particular interest in truffles, wine, trattoria, gourmet restaurants, historical sightseeing etc that you find within 15 min drive. The rooms are basic, clean and full of air and atmossphere and there are balconys to some of them with a fantastic view on the landscape especially at sunset. We came with three kids and they enjoyed some time in the pool and had great fun feeding the friendly donkey Nemo. We can only recommend this place and particularly the fantastic host Carlo!”
