A truly stunning historic cottage by White's Mercantile Room and Board! This is the only nightly rental available in the heart of Leiper's Fork village, walk to everything! Built in 1892 for the Carl Sweeney family, these walls and rooms are brimming with stories. Happiness and tragedy, laughter and tears; generations who loved and lost there. I have truly enjoyed working on the redemption of this home, renovating where needed, and always preserving where I can to let the history shine through.
“This is a very well kept cottage with so much charm. We all slept so peacefully in the comfy beds. Not far from Franklin for shopping or from places to explore outdoors. Peaceful small town charm. Loved pit stay in Leipers Fork.”
Located right in the center of Leiper’s Fork, a stone’s throw away from Puckett’s, 1892 Country Boy Restaurants - "Millville" started as a creative space for owners, Trace & Samantha & (best friend and business partner) Justin Timberlake’s lifestyle clothing brand, William Rast as well as Villa 40, a music artist development company. Named after Millington (the Memphis suburb where Trace grew up) & new close by town of Nashville, Millville (c. 1890) is on the National Register of Historic Homes.
“We loved this house and the setting especially! Leiper’s is really cool (closed Mon/Tues) and the house was very clean and stylish. Really Nice bathrooms and decor and comfortable beds, almost too comfortable ha. I especially love old houses with nice porches and this place was it. The backyard is where to gather and get a nice fire ripping. The big string lights in the back trees were especially cool and dim too. We could have hung all night back there.”
Sit on Adirondack chairs on a porch and let time fade away. The interior of this cottage is a study in rustic chic design, where unfinished wood floors, limed paneling, and an iron bed disguise many modern trappings such as wifi and air conditioning.
“Our stay was the definition of southern hospitality. Stefanie was awesome to talk to and Steve knew the best places to check out. Their place was a reflection of the hospitality they had towards us. It was cozy and had a ton of character. From the decor, to the kitchenette, it all felt intentionally designed to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Everything was spotless, and it was so quiet that we slept in a little late a couple times! This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and we would stay there many more times!”
