Midnattsol på sommeren er et uforglemmelig fenomen samt nordlyset på vinteren. Nøkkel i nøkkelboks. Romantisk spasertur langs havet starter ved huset. Nylig renovert bad og kjøkken. Kjøkkenet er fult utstyrt og har oppvaskmaskin og mikrobølgeovn. Te forsyner du deg med når du vil. Ingen innsyn fra naboer.
“It was the best of all the accommodations on my trip to Norway. The hosts are super nice, the room very clean and the beds very comfortable. But the best thing is the insanity! In the morning you can enjoy coffee by the fireplace with a great view of the fjord. I was there in winter and the ice-covered fjord with the snow mountains in the background was just magical. The location is good. On foot you can reach Nordskot- a very nice place and with a short drive the beautiful island of Engeloya with the stunning Bo beach !! I really enjoyed my days there and can recommend the accommodation without reservation! The hosts even picked me up from the ferry in Nordskot. Overall, the place is an insider tip for the tourist-run Lofoten!”

“Can definitely recommend this gem in Steigen !! We were so lucky and got to live in the writing room, a lovely blue cottage in the yard. Surrounded by sheep, chickens and horses! Really idyllic and lovely view of the mountains from the living room! We got delicious eggs from the chickens and cucumber from the greenhouse! Rose-Mari is a wonderful host and helped us with local tour tips and was so straightforward and picked us up after we left the Queen Box! The grocery stores are a short distance away and close relatively early, so one arrives in the evening you may want to shop in Fauske if one comes from the south, or the Inland Ocean about one coming from the north.”

Surrounded by secluded beaches, mossy forests and snow-capped mountains, our cosy barn is truly a hidden gem--an off-the-beaten-track secret getaway from the touristic Lofoten Islands. Chances are, you'll see the northern lights and the midnight sun from here, minus the throngs of tourists.
