Enjoy a unique stay in a renovated monastery in a small green village 20 minutes above Byblos. The place holds history and love, furnished with great care and aesthetics. SaQi Guest House is run by Gisèle who is an avid gardener and environmentalist.
“As my daughter described the Saqi Guesthouse, "it's like a dream"! We loved the spacious and homely living space, the garden with fire pit, and the beautiful surroundings of trees and flowers. Our kids absolutely loved playing with the rabbits, getting brave with the chickens and giving the baby lamb its bottle! Best of all though was Gisele herself, her daughter Emma and their relaxed, kind and engaging way with us all, especially the children. Will be back soon!!”

“I spent a weekend with a friend in Rita's house, we needed to work together in a pleasant and comfortable environment, and we got exactly what we needed and more. The space is very comfortable for working, both inside and outside. And the outside space under the vine is extremely pleasant. We didn't really mind being next to the road, because it is a road that does not have a lot of traffic. Also the house has everything you need for cooking and there's a close-by water fountain.”

“What an amazing place in the middle of an orchard - I woke up with the sun and the sound of birds around me, and went to sleep with an owl hooting in the distance. The treehouse is the perfect place to disconnect, a base to go hiking during the day and to sit around a bonfire at night. No luxury - but clean, warm, with electricity and a good hot shower at the end of the day, and a stunning view of the valley. Amazing hiking trails around - such as the well-marked Lebanon Mountain Trail. A special thanks goes to Michael for his outstanding hospitality - for walking with me to the waterfalls, to the mountain plateau, for telling me so much about the area and for the evening around the bonfire! A perfect antidote to isolation in a city.”
