Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Leh

Since we visited during off season, no help were available but Dosang and his family made sure that we feel comfortable and all our needs are met. The rooms and washrooms were as clean as we expected and the house is located at a beautiful location. All the home-cooked food and tea were just a cherry on the top. The Bonfire in the evening was also a lot of fun. Thank you Dosang and family for making our stay comfortable and trip memorable. :)

Sonam and his family were wonderful welcoming hosts. The place is comfortable and quiet. Gets great afternoon sun which means the room is warm after a day out exploring. Best of all, the hosts were really accomodating and are genuine, caring and friendly people

I had the honour and privilege of staying at Salim’s place. Honestly, I’ve never seen 2 weeks pass by so quickly. I felt really relaxed and at peace. Salim’s place felt more homely than my own home. You wouldn’t want to go back once you spend a few days here with the family and pets. If you really want to experience something authentic and real, this is the place. There’s so much to do at the farm like feeding cattle, gardening, being a part of the community and visiting nearby houses, cycling to the historical palace and mosque nearby, spending time at the river banks and other places around. The homecooked meals are always delicious and you’ll be surprised by your own appetite. I can probably publish an entire blog on how amazing of a host Salim is. Ps: he also has an amazing collection of books. Pps: he paints and sings really well, and is a walking encyclopaedia on local culture, constellations, history, and more. I just can’t wait to be back and spend more time!

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Stanzin's place! The view is absolutely stunning, the food and coffee fantastic. We really liked the little town with all of the restaurants and shops as well, with the friendliest people. Honorable mention to the dogs of the place. We made a few friends. Thanks again, Stanzin and family!

Staying here was an absolute dream! The house was not only beautiful and peaceful but also the perfect place to slow down and acclimatize to the high altitude. Angtak and Catherine are the most loving and welcoming hosts, making me feel right at home. Their passion for sustainable textiles and the workshops they offer provided a deeper understanding of the rich Ladakhi culture, which was truly inspiring. The surrounding beauty and the warmth of this place made my stay unforgettable. I feel so lucky to have found this gem and can’t wait to return!

I enjoyed my stay at Sonam's apartment and was there for over 1 month. Everything I needed was available. Transportation was very easy to and from Leh market and other places. Sonam is an excellent host and went out of his way to help me out during my stay🙏🏼
