“We were looking for a quiet getaway & Gilli's place ticked all the boxes - we had a lovely couple of nights at her beautiful place in the Gower in March. The weather was Scottish style driech, so not much of a view, but being inside was very pleasant with the log burning stove and central heating. Also well stocked with games, books and all the essentials. Plus a very welcoming welcome pack! The house is extremely comfy and spotlessly clean with beautiful clean white linen on the comfortable big bed and some rather nice paintings on the walls. Even though the weather wasn't great we had a go in the fab hot tub after a fantastic lunch at the Michelin-starred Beach House restaurant on Oxwich beach. Also worth mentioning the local pub, The King Arthur. And local Post Office with Welsh cheeses and bread. Gilli is making every effort cleanliness/coronavirus-wise but still greeted us warmly (from across the garden gate at a safe distance). Highly recommended and thank you.”

“This is a great little place for 2. All you need. Lovely private house and garden. Spotlessly clean and well equipped including cleaning products and hand gels . 5 minute walk to a stunning beach surrounded by nature walks. Shop on the corner and beach kiosks do a breakfast roll. Hotel and restaurant werent open when we stayed but have been to both before. Both good. Our favourite place to eat and drink though is the king arthur in reynoldston. Theyre doing a great job with covid related measures.”
Burry is an ideal location from which to explore the whole Gower peninsula. Perfect for wedding guests at Fairy Hill (walking distance) Old Walls ,King Arthur, Oxwich Bay, Ocean view. There are 5 beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive. Great views, coastal walks, pubs and restaurants are all nearby. Holly Cottage is warm & cosy with underfloor heating throughout. The barn is on one level full of character with a fully equipped kitchen. For couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
“Smart and cosy cottage with well equipped kitchen, hot powerful shower and nice feature ceilings and walls. Easy parking and do check out the fresh veg stall in the road. Wifi good but mobile reception poor in the cottage - try walking up the road. Our top tip is the walk to the King Arthur pub at Reynoldston, it's downhill on the way back. Friendly hosts and an outdoor table when it's sunny. Easy to get to Port Eynon, Llangenith and Rhossili for excellent walks. Car essential and take care on the narrow lanes.”
