Old Norman farmhouse renovated in 2013 with a nineteenth century forge, independent in a beautiful landscaped garden of 3000 m2, in the heart of the Normandy countryside, in the country of Bray and the forest of Lyons, one of the most beautiful beech forests in France
“Luminous and charming, spacious and comfortable, we fell in love with this place. It exudes coziness and one can tell much thought went into its decoration and design. It certainly fits the bill of delightful Normandy house and the village it resides in—a collection of houses, ranches, farms and a church—serves as a pleasant backdrop. The owner is top notch, friendly and hospitable. He greeted us with a fire already lit in the living room and was always available to answer our questions. The yard is huge and well-maintained, connected perfectly to the house and a great place to kick a ball or play hide-and-go-seek. Here we found our great escape, far removed from the chaos of the outside world, spending our dusks on the veranda sipping rosé while watching the kids play in the retreating sunlight… before moving in front of the dancing shadows of a glowing fire and asking ourselves what if we could stay forever.”

“Having had a call the day before departure from Émilie, because a technical problem had arisen in the lodgings planned at the start, Émilie offered us an alternative very quickly. A night in a larger house with an outdoor jacuzzi. And what a surprise! Very nice house, very nice touches, impeccable cleanliness, safe place. One of the most beautiful evening of my life really! A big thank you I recommend!”
Situated in the centre of the town of Forges-les-Eaux, everything will be at your disposal (shops, restaurants...). However your will appreciate our house for its quiet location. So don't hesitate, either your an a lonely traveller, a family or travelling for business.
“Cosy, french style living. You walk through the front door straight into the living space where there is a table and chairs in the middle of the room. You also share this space with a fully functioning kitchen which was adequate for us. We didn't use the outside space which is a small patio with table and chairs and it really is a lovely space. Going upstairs it is narrow and steep with a sharpish twist before reaching the 1st floor. There is a bedroom for children and the bathroom is off this room. Carry on up and you get to the top of the house. This room has a king size bed, small child's bed and a cot. For me this room needed a chest of drawers and a blind on the main velux window. My husband and I loved it. Come out of the house and turn right and you are in the town. We were lucky to be there on market day plus there are some nice bars and places to eat. Parking outside the house is good albeit the road is narrow. Great place, super host who left us some homemade cider which was scrummy. Would definitely recommend.”
