“My boyfriend and I had a great long weekend at Tony and Darcie’s place. We had everything we needed, and the space was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was great for cooking a few meals and the couch is super comfortable to watch movie on. There were a lot of thoughtful touches to the space as well. My partner and I were able to travel around easily and hike around Watkins Glen and Letchworth State Parks during our stay, super recommend! Would be super happy to stay here again.”
Located in a highly desirable, quaint & safe residential neighborhood across the street from an elementary school & a church. Within 1/2 mile or less is access to both Interstate 99 & Interstate 86 in beautiful Corning/Painted Post, NY. Whether you are visiting the area to see what the tourist attractions have to offer, visiting family or friends in the area, on business, or just passing through and need a place to stay close to the highway...we are the perfect home instead of the 6 hotels.
“My friends and I had a great time staying at Cindy and Brian’s place. They are really hospitable and responded to our questions timely. Brian showed us the place and hot tub and gave us some helpful tips on where to eat and hike, he even gave us a science lesson on his telescope. The guest suite was very clean and we found all the things we needed. Their place is located in a quiet little town. There is a tennis court right across the street. A short drive to Corning and Watkins Glen. Would recommend.”
Our little retreat has a combined living/dining room with cathedral ceiling. It is modestly furnished, parking for 3 vehicles, cell service for most, Big TV & DVD player with a nice DVD library, washer & dryer. So sorry - no cable or WiFi yet. During the Winter season guests may need all-wheel-drive or 4wd vehicle to get up our drive way. We try to keep it plowed, but sudden accumulation of snow is usual in our neck of the woods. Guests must be able to climb stairs.
“The photos listed truly do not give this place justice, it is beautiful and cozy! We took our daughters up for the weekend to do some 'glamping' and sight seeing, the cabin was by far the girls favorite though. They loved the privacy of the loft and the wrap around porch. We used the fire ring and made smores every night and grilled during the day. The hospitality of Shirley and Fred definitely exceeded our expectations. We hope to go back before the end of the year! 😊”
