Nearby are vineyards and GWU. 7 1/2 acres of serene beauty - sit by the pond and fish or hike the cleared trails down to the flowing creek. End the night sitting by the firepit. Sleeps 4-6 people. 1600 sq ft house with 2 BR, 2 Baths, den, and a beautiful open concept living dining and kitchen. Queen air mattress for den. NOTE: 6/25 upgraded to Starlink. Wi-Fi is no longer an issue.

Enjoy the backyard with a hot tub (inflatable), and night lighting. Grill on the charcoal or relax at the fire pit. Just in earshot of the apple orchard where you can satisfy your taste buds with a crisp fresh apple, apple cider slushy, or fried apple pie. Although rural this home is only 4 miles from interstate 40! Approx an hour from Asheville and Charlotte.

Five minutes to Rutherford Hospital, easy access to TIEC, the nearby blueridge mountains, historic Asheville and Hendersonville or if you are looking for something different you could easily visit Charlotte or Greenville SC.

The Carriage House and city of Morganton have power and are ready visitors. This guest house sits behind a historic home in downtown Morganton. The 1920s structure has restored original finishes : a claw foot tub, vintage bathroom sink, and farm house sink in the kitchen. Downstairs features original wood bead board ceilings. Upstairs the ceiling was removed to expose the roof and beams. Two fireplaces keep it cozy - you'll have a lovely place relax and listen to the rain on the metal roof.

We are one hour to Asheville, NC and the Blue RIdge Parkway. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Park are within 30 minutes also. A quick stroll from our front door will take you the heart of our town where you will find local restaurants, boutiques and the Thermal Belt Trail.
