Patio furniture provided outside, porch overlooking the river, fire pit, picnic table, propane BBQ. 150 acres, forest & trails.

The Escape Pod|No Neighbours|Pet Friendly|Drive to

This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

THE KABINKA No service, no electricity, no plumbing, no problems "Kabinka" is the name of our eastern European inspired Chalet. She is unadorned, a simple off-grid shelter for your wilderness retreat. Configured equally for a large party of family/friends, or for a couple's weekend away (groups over 4 are charged more) Outside is a growing network of trails, winding along Rockingham Creek and surrounding hills, with views of our hobby farm and spectacular waterfalls.

Relax and enjoy our spacious, new build, two bedroom lower level private suite in one of Petawawas newest subdivisions. Private entrance and close to all amenities, including CFB Petawawa, CNL, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery store and parks. 1 King, 1 Queen size bed, along with a full size kitchen, stone counters and stainless steel appliances. Enjoy a complimentary Nespresso coffee or tea, as well as a few essentials to get you started during your stay with us.

Beautiful view with deck on the lake. Main floor is open concept kitchen (furnished), living and dining room. Full bath with shower. Master bedroom with queen. Wheelchair accessible. Second bedroom space upstairs with queen and single bed. Loft with 2 single beds. (see photos) Fully furnished cottage. (See "Booking, House Rules, Additional rules" for details.) Shared rowboat & canoe with life jackets are available. No pets.

The Guest House

Our guest house is a cozy log cabin with three floors. It is the original homesteader cabin to our property, revived and restored with care. Nestled in the Bonnechere region of Renfrew County, this magical place of solitude offers nature right outside your door. Local paintings by Ottawa Valley landscape artist Angela St. Jean displayed throughout the cabin feature lakes, rivers, and natural places and spaces that surround us.
